THat is all.

No grabner to be called up.
Good to know you've got the inside scoop!

Hopefully this is nothing too serious and he can be back at least for the post-season. It would suck to finally have some good scoring depth and end up losing it before the post-season. On a side note, could be a blessing in disguise if it's not too serious as it gives management a good look at Grabner down the stretch.

I guess we'll see how perfect this team is without Samuelsson.

I vote we linch the person who changed the thread title! That was the easiest jinx to spot...ever. Maybe except for the paper's pre-gram article about the Islanders/Canucks game.

If both Samuelsson and Mitchell are not back for the playoffs you can kiss any chance at a cup-run goodbye.

Raymond sucks, look how many chances he blows, how many shootout shots go for not. Everyone is so high on this kid but he has no finish what so ever. Yeah but Kid he has 20 goals blah blah blah. yeah well anyone playing with our top 2 lines could score 20 goals, we have immense talent but it's nice to be able to compliment that talent with other talent, not a young fast kid with no finish. Raymond can spend the rest of the season making his affordable contract on the third/fourth line blowing scoring chanced there.

TC posted 2-3 weeks about 15 minutes ago, now Murph is saying 4-6 weeks (1 minute ago). At this rate, by tonight, he'll be out 5-6 years.

EDIT - Murph updated a couple of minutes later that it's back to 2-3 weeks. Won't be comfortable till he's practicing, and the 4-6 had to come from somewhere, but 2-3 weeks wont' worry me. Fresh for playoffs.

Its 2-3 weeks. No structural damage, which is huge considering how much pain he was in last night.

Better not be true. That would keep him out of the first and, most likely, second round.

Is that an undisclosable source or did somewhere official report that?

Dan Murphy pretty much corrected himself by posting that the Canucks are saying 2-3 weeks.

It could be a sigmund curve in which case there's a chance he's in the lineup tomorrow night

2-3 weeks is a much better timeframe...yowza. But still, what a horrible time to get injured. Our hottest player falls in the stretch drive, ugh.

Well, hopefully Grabner can put his skills to good use in the top six. The Canucks have kept on trucking despite a lot of injuries to key players this year, here's hoping they don't stop now.

Because Burrows can step up so easily into the first line role, and Grabner or Raymond can fill the 2nd, this really shouldn't hurt us much at all. Kind of excited to see Grabner get another look and Sammy gets some rest.

Injuries to Sedin, Demitra, Mitchell, Salo, and Bieksa haven't stopped the team so far. I think if Grabner can find his chemistry and confidence on the 2nd line/3rd line, the team will still be a force to be reckoned with in the 1st round. Ideally Sammy will be back before then but having him come in energized and ready to roll come playoffs is going to be a good boost if the stars align at the right time.

TSN reports 2-3 weeks. Thank God it's not 4-6, that would put it right in playoff time. On this timeframe, he should be back for the last few regular season games to help push us into the playoffs. *touch wood*

I hope that 2-3 week prediction holds true. It seems like this organization tends to be optimistic when setting these possible return dates. I'm guessing what that means is that he'll start skating/practicing in 2-3 weeks. If he's healed enough to perform and can handle the discomfort then he'll return to the lineup. If the activity causes too much pain or soreness then he'll rest a while longer. Sometimes this looks like a rehab setback but I think it's the process Canuck management has developed for assessing the rehabilitation of an injury. I would not be surprised to see the 2-3 week prediction turn into 4-6 weeks.

Sounds like a Type I shoulder separation.
