That $63USD does add up for the average folk. For the last two years of work, I recieved roughly an extra $1,000 a month because LOA

That's your speculation.

All he has said is that he is playing for Brampton this year.

Please, no windsprints.
He has played so little hockey this year it would be in his best interests to go to the Moose if he is healthy enough. I think the talk about him not having decided if he would go to the Moose is more about supporting his Brampton team. The last thing a team needs going into the playoffs is having its leaders making plans for an early summer. How would it look for the Canucks if Henrik Sedin told people he was on Priceline looking for cheap flights to Sweden for early May, or Kevin Bieksa saying he just can't wait for Golf season?

As an athlete in a team sport you simply don't do that at any level. I can't think of too many players who have even speculated in advance about plans for when their playoff team is eliminated. It's just not done.

I suspect that the AHL size and skill level will be a bit of a wake-up call for him. I would not be surprised at all if it takes him half a season to find his feet.

His comments could also indicate that the Canucks have not mentioned to him the possibility of playing for Manitoba this year.

I think the real truth is that he intends to retire and become a nun.

There is no source that invalidates this.

Hodgson clearly won't play for the Moose. He'll be the Canucks #1 Centre for the playoffs!

Hardly likely since he played 11 games with the Moose last year.

All he said when asked was that he is not thinking about next steps, just about recovering from his broken toe and helping the Battalion in the playoffs. Reading more into that is just WetToaster trying to emphasize the so called rift between CoHo and the Canucks. Maybe he's still "hop stepping his turns"

I know, I was just putting a spin on it like Wetcoaster.

Of course Hodgson isn't going to come out and say that he's looking past his time with the Battallion and can't wait to get out of there and turn pro. But alas, Wet can never turn up an opportunity to make something out of nothing!

His college team was garbage this year but he looked great in games at WJC on team USA the kids got great wheels and hands looking forward to him in Canuck jersey one day.

It depends how you interpret the context of the remarks. It is not just my speculation - others have also drawn similar conclusions:
Quote:
Hodgson, 20, expects to be back by mid-March to play in the playoffs for the Battalion but, when asked if there are plans for him to join the Canucks' AHL affiliate Manitoba Moose following that, he said: I don't look too far forward or too far back. I want to get my foot better and help the Brampton Battalion win.

While those lukewarm comments echo Hodgson's response to similar questions a month ago when he broke a four-month silence following his first game back...

They might but taken in the context of his other remarks, I see a different situation. Heck there might even be a rift.

There is no source that can rationally connect to that conclusion would be a more accurate observation.

Seems quite a bit more than something out of nothing. There have been articles published speculating on the state of the Canucks relationship with Hodgson.

You may choose to ignore the issue and dismiss it but others certainly have not.

I gotta think you are just rocking the boat for fun, I have read this forums for a while and while I don't always agree with your opinion it is usually based behind sound logic. This time that just is not the case, what was Cody supposed to say other then he is looking forward to Brampton's playoff games. If he mentions Moose or the Canucks, then he is Schroeder, and just biding his time until he can leave. Its almost like he can't answer the question, and then if he had said no comment that would have been made into a huge deal - Hodgson no longer even wants to talk about the Canucks!

I agree with Zorbane he is becoming a nun, because he has never denied otherwise

One and only warning: knock off the Hodgson crap, this is a thread about Jordan Schroeder. If this crap keeps filtering over from thread to thread, I'll start infracting people for Spam. Get it? Got it? Good.

I've skimmed through the thread, albeit quickly, and didn't see anything, but does anyone know what the numbers are for the contract? Anybody have a guess?

My guess would be a standard ELC, 3-years with rookie bonuses.

Sorry, I meant $$ figures. I know it's based on ranges as to when they were drafted, perhaps on the year they were drafted as well, so it should be fairly straight forward so if anyone knows I'd love to find out.
