Let's hope. But given DW's past trades, being a top prospect for the Sharks just means he's more likely to peddle you for some aging over the hill geezer that he thinks "will bring leadership to the room" and who "knows how to win". Except that they never do on the Sharks.

Why would he trade Boyes? Who was arguably one of the better center prospects at the time in the whole league. Yet DW pawned him off for a lower-tier 2nd liner / decent 3rd liner in Brown. DW makes retarded trades, it's his specialty.

I'd like to see Couture on the 3rd line

Edit: Ask and you shall receive... there was Couture with Mitchell and Manny lol

I'm actually wondering whats up with Boyes. He's had a relatively short NHL career but has been traded numerous times and was available at the deadline.

I agree with this. The Boyes trade was borderline retarded. Especially when Boyes was the best part of that Nolan trade (I forget what we got for Tor's 1st though).

I think the staff told the Players to get back to basics....simple passes ,drive to the net put the puck on the goalie.....it looks like they really are playing more simple Hockey to regain their confidence.....aside from Jumbo I think its working

Jesus christ, why doesn't Clowe at least try that all the time?

Anyone notice he looked angry at himself for scoring such an awesome goal?

Finagled around in the first round and ultimately took Bernier.

I think Clowie has played pretty well, not just 'cuz of the goal.

We got lucky that high-stick was not called.

Traded as a prospect by the Leafs for Nolan. Traded as a prospect by the Sharks for Brown. Played well for the Bruins, got a big paycheck, and had a bad year for the Bruins who traded him to the Blues. Had some good years for the Blues, has had a few injury issues and injury issues with his line-mates, struggled a bit and reportedly has some attitude issues in St. Louis.

Other folks may have greater insight. And I'm not saying he would be a great panacea for the Sharks. But he has been a 40 goal scorer in recent years and that's something the Sharks needed. I would argue he isn't much worse than Heatley, he's cheaper, and the Sharks would have already had him in their stable if they hadn't traded him.

Well, it makes me wonder if he is some sort of locker room cancer or has motivation issues. He does have talent, something has to be up.

I think in the Bruins case you also have to look at the fact that they had Savard, Bergeron, Krescji, and Kessler as available centers. But they needed a puck-moving D-man pretty badly. The Bruins got Wideman for him and kept the 3 cheaper players (at the time, Bergeron, Kresjci, and Kessler).
