Henrik: "Personally I stunk."

http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/range...Q5KpRBQOE2NFSK

Lots of pressure to be a goalie on a team like this.. Its tough enough to eek out wins when he's on.

Like Dave Maloney said in the post game .. "it would have been nice to see the Rangers pull this one out for their goaltender". "this team is on life support".

Note: 8 of last 11 are on the road.

He did stink. Bad, bad game for him.

That said, why can't we ever pick Henrik up and steal a game? He picks us up and steals us points all the time, yet the team can never return the favor.

He's allowed to have a bad game every now and then, he is the best player on this sorry team and carries the team on almost every night...

At least someone on this team admits they suck personally for a game.... And it's the best player...

Yea....Just sucks he has a bad game when we score three goals. I feel bad for him. He really cant let in any more than 2 goals for this team to win a game

Bad game for Lundqvist, no doubt about that. But even more than goalscoring, the problem for this team continues to be missed assignments in the defensive zone....on the rush, running around while the other team cycles, you name it and its a problem. This teams defensive awareness is every bit as terrible as the 98-04 teams.

i don't know what those shmucks were thinking.

unless it was "if not for this guy we'd for sure be a lottery team", there is no excuse to get on henrik.

It's pathetic to think they'd start going on Hank just for one bad game. This fan base keeps getting dumbmer each game.

The guy had a rare off night, but Conklin wasn't far behind him, I thought he looked terrible, how can you not bail your goalie out........not even once...............it just makes zero sense. This team without henrik would be an even bigger disaster and you got Nicky Know-it-all in the stands booing Henrik? Being shot sounds about right to me.......this whole organization needs this off season to come real bad if you know what im sayin

You can tell the frustration is getting to him. Can't blame the guy at all. That thread on the main board summed it up; He deserves to be on a better team.

It's disheartening to watch this cluster **** on the ice. I can't even imagine being the guy who has to watch all 60 minutes from the crease.

in "playoff" mode, you're just not going to win many games when your goalie gives up 4 goals on 16 shots. Bad game at a bad time.

On a side note has anyone ever checked on the Blues' home and away record? 12-17-5 at home; 21-11-4 on the road. Wow.

.

By the same token you can't win in the playoffs, when you get shutout or score 1 goal most games...

Last night I was able to make it out to the game and I've never seen Henrik so upset with himself. He slammed his stick on the ice and the post a few times after his first mistake which again, I'm not sure I've ever seen from him. He also was heading over to the bench more than he normally does during TV timeouts and when he'd go back in net he'd slam his stick again.

He definitely let the first soft goal effect his play later. At one point he dropped an easy catch and later than that he let up an incredibly soft goal.

I'd disagree with the deserves to be on a better team notion. It's not a right to win a championship, the guy is making amazing money and that's the only thing a great player "deserves".

Mio...

I'm not sure what giving up four goals has to do with scoring zero or one goal. I assume you're trying to deflect attention off Lundqvist, but I don't see how that makes sense.

He steals games because he is talented enough to do so. The team cant steal him a game because the talent isnt there. Plain and simple

He should have went all Brodeur and blame his team and lucky bounces . At least it wouldn't give the defense the impression that they weren't at fault

The fans are almost never fair. Redden got booed when they announced his assist and he even got booed when they announced his goal. I'm no fan of Redden but that's not right.

Me and my friend started yelling Redden you suck after any time something went wrong for the Rangers and Redden wasn't on the ice. A few guy around us appreciated it and a few others thought we were serious and agreed with it

Just adding to what you said, which was correct, you can't win in the playoffs when you give up 4 goals...I do think Hank deserves the benefit of the doubt, though...
