I knew the Olympics would turn in to a disaster for the Sharks.
I think our four Golden Boys already have their hardware for the year. If they fail in the playoffs once again, they can curl up with their medals at night and say "Hey, so much for San Jose - but at least we won the PLANET"
And the Olympics may have proved to be a big mind**** on our goaltenders.
Interesting how the Sharks had no pressure down low in the Flames zone, yet still managed to get caught for an odd-man rush.
but why skate backwards until your ass hits your goaltender? stand up at the blue line and make a play! swipe the puck, take the body, anything but simply gliding 120' backwards making silly pointing gestures to other players.

Yay.
That's exactly what I was thinking during the olympics.
It looks like the beginning of the end for our team.
I blame Heatley. This team looks like the 2007-08 Senators that set an NHL record for best start and ended as a 7 seed and swept out of the first round. Clearly he has infected this team with an even more impressive suck virus.
That was a very 'Meh, whatever' interview.
Thanks Patty.
Soooo, Sharks play Oilers late Sunday afternoon. Dubnyk is closing in on the NHL record for longest losing streak to start a career (currently held by some dude who played a handful of games for the Jets & Mighty Ducks). At this rate, they'll put Doob in net and he'll finally earn his first NHL victory vs the Sharks to barely avoid that embarrassing title.

Edmonton's up 2-0 on with Dooby in net and outshooting Detroit 13-2. We may yet be spared that indignity.
