1,300 FREE Parking Spots!!!

Quote:
On Saturday, March 20 more than 1,300 Predators fans will have the opportunity to park for free courtesy of Premier Parking, the Nashville Predators and downtown property owners. Premier Parking of Tennessee, LLC will be offering Nashville Predators fans free parking for the Nashville Predators game on March 20 vs. the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The free parking will be offered at the Pinnacle at Symphony Place Garage, where there will be 787 spaces available. In addition to the Pinnacle at Symphony building, there will be an additional six surface parking lots on Second Avenue, between Korean Veterans Boulevard and the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge. These additional lots will bring the total number of free available parking spots to 1,320 for use by Predators fans on Saturday, March 20.

Just a few stats...

This is the 6th and final meeting this season of these two teams. Predators have won 4 out of 5.

The Predators are 22-3-2 against the Blue Jackets since the '06-'07 season.
They lost their most recent meeting against them on January 26th with a score of 3-2.

Predators are 40-26-5, last ten are 7-3-0.
Blue Jackets are 29-31-11, last ten are 4-4-2.

And some goalie stats (because you all know I love them )

In his last four starts, Pekka has stopped 108 of 113 shots for a .956 save percentage and had two shutouts.

Steve Mason is 0-3-3 with an .888 save percentage overall in Nashville.

I'm not sure if either of those goalies are playing though. Garon has better stats than Mason and we have back-to-backs this weekend so Trotz may put Ellis in so Pekka plays on Sunday, I'm not sure.

LET'S GO PREDATORS!

Garon started Friday night for Columbus against Minnesota and the pre-game report was that Mason was to start tonight for the Blue Jackets. I'd have to assume that Trotz will start Rinne, this is certainly not the time to be resting him...

Oh, well if Garon started last night then Mason is for sure.

And I agree about not resting Peks right now, but it's whoever Trotz deems to be the better match up (i.e. Ellis against Columbus or against St. Louis) because Pekka can't play both. Personally, I hope Ellis is in so that Pekka will play Sunday (since I am going to that game) but you're probably right, Pekka will play against Columbus.

I'm gonna be very interested to see how Trotz handles this weekend. Pekka can play both games and is a workhorse goalie (plays better the more games he gets) as evidenced by his days in Milwaukee, but at the same time we are in the midst of a very busy month and Ellis is gonna be the fresher of the two goalies tomorrow at St. Louis...

I just don't know if Trotz will actually give Ellis the start if Pekka doesn't falter. The teams behind us aren't giving us any real breathing room and points are too valuable right now.

A conversation obviously that will probably be clearer at this time tomorrow night...

Pekka is a work horse, but two games in less than 24 hours? I'd be afraid he wouldn't fare so well on Sunday.

it has been tight games this season with Columbus and i don't think they are gonna roll over us so we have to BRING IT

As for the goalie situation id be happy to see Peks start tonight and Ellis on the road and get Peks back at home next week.

Prediction:

3-2 Preds

(Wilson,Erat,Sully)

Too bad they play the Islanders.

Of course Edmonton beat Detroit last night, so anything can happen...

Man, I'm really hoping we come out ready to play a full 60 minutes. No sloppy play, no stupid mistakes, just keep it simple hockey and beat the Jackets. Lord knows I'm sure the Jacket fans would love to beat us and help keep us out of the playoffs, but certainly they hate Detroit more than us right?

Let's go Preds!!! 4-2 win, Horny the game winner.

That's correct. We do. But that just means y'all are going to have to make up the points for tonight against Detroit, because we don't do freebies.

Hahah thank you! Only the Nashvillians who go to the games will understand it.
And as much as I make fun of that (I'm sure nice) lady, I will miss her when she doesn't say "cotton candy, only a dollar!" after the games.

I'm off to dinner, then the game. Come on Preds, don't disappoint me!

Take that back, Boyd will score his first goal as a Pred in place of one of the above.

Still waiting on the Legwand hat trick Oh and I mean an actual hat trick, not the 'Legwand Hat Trick' (goal, baby, assist) that somehow made its way to Wikipedia.

Erat often plays well versus the Jackets, And they'll put two guys on Wilson, so that frees him and Arnott up, lol. Each line chips in.

Erat - goal
Legwand - goal (Whoo! Way to get off that schnide Leggy!)
Sully or Hornqvist - goal
Tootoo or Dumont
Weber

Preds win! 5-2

I thought a Legwand Hat Trick was a (not contribute, be overpaid, be a waste of ice) in a game. He should have a bout 70 something this year, right?

I kid, I kid.
