There is one team I wouldnt want to play in the playoffs and thats San Jose. If we faced Chicago I would be pretty happy with it. They are a division rival so you know the games are going to be intense. ( when are they not in the playoffs ) Chicago is also in a lot of trouble. They have a banged up defense and goaltending is a ? for them. They have a very strong offense as everyone knows that. But I dont think they can win the cup if there D is unhealthy. Defense is what you need to win the cup and I dont think they have a strong enough D. Did anyone notice Byfuglien playin D last night for them?

Supposedly, 93 points will give Nashville a 75% chance of making the playoffs per cool web site linky. 8 points, 4 wins out of 11 games. I like Nashville's chances.

LoL hope it did, i really do and well I'm a really optimistic guy so hope it carrys onto the team

As of the other teams yesterday i really wanted to the Blues to loose, i want them out of the picture for sure when we play them in April twice am actually really worried playing them, because as i recall last time we played them, they had lots of dirty hits on us and we had an injury or two after that game...so yah hope they fall off

Nice to see the Kings loose and we finally drew even on points with them, although they still have 2 games in hand really nice to look at the standings atm

I still don't get the hype Vancouver gets here and on the main boards aswell ok they got Luongo and the Sedins and Kessler but the 4 times we played them this season i believe we split 2-2 with them and well i think, no i believe we can beat them in a series.

I dunno why, but i have this mental image that the Sharks and Blackhawks are a notch above the rest NOT counting the injuries they have. the hawks goalie situation is really suspect and i read that they had 3 starting defensemen out that really sucks for them to be honest and well San Jose is San Jose they got lots of skill players there.

just my 2 cents on the situation

now if the Shark could actually win against a hungry Calgary team and the oilers could pull and upset id be thrilled

here is my Dream Scenario we Finish 6th Play Vancouver Win in 6.
Detroit finishes either 7 or 8 doesn't matter they play either of the big 2 in the first round win the series and then play the other one of the big 2 in the second round. then we casually play the winner of the 4th/5th place series in the 2nd round and beat them of course.

that is how i would like things to go

Edmonton is helping us out but SJ certainly isn't. Isles are at least tied with the Quacks.

I really don't want to be faced with San Jose in the playoffs. Perhaps they will reclaim 1st and we will move up to 6th...

We definitely want Vancouver to win. They've been doing well lately so hopefully they do!

And we are only 1 point out of 5th place. Of course they have one less game played but that's pretty amazing.

Well atleast the Oilers robbed 1 point from the Wings but common scoring with 0.2s left Geez... and Calgary sure is keeping us on our toes.

As for today:

Ottawa(W) @ Dallas(L)
St. Louis(L) @ New Jersey(W)
COLUMBUS(L) @ NASHVILLE(W)
Chicago(W) @ Phoenix(L)
Detroit(L) @ Vancouver(W)
NY Islanders(W) @ LA (L)

Also hoping for 2p games, don't care about our game though if its 2 or 3 , if all that would happen that would pretty much make my day and i would be a happy camper

oh and about the Sharks loosing if they end up @ 4th and we play great and end up 5th ill be really pissed

Phoenix only 3 points behind San Jose. Hopefully they catch them, San Jose drops to 4, we stay in the 6 or 7 slot and possibly draw Phoenix instead. That would be nice.

It's against Detroit. Sometimes these sorts of concessions have to be made.

If we could manage to stay in 6th, I suddenly have a much much much better feeling about our chances. This isn't to say that the Nucks are not a good team. They are. We just never beat the Sharks in the postseason.

No, the three division leaders automatically are ranked in the top three spots by points...

I really hope the Yotes get the top spot that would be so cool. Not sure how they would fare in the postseason though, they have won alot of shootouts and had alot of bounces go their way. But its a good story
