if we lose today, we are more or less out of it. Rangers would be what, 5 points back? with 10 games left. If the Rangers won out, the Bruins would still only have to go 7-3-1 to win it.

This game IS the season. Right here, right now. Tomorrow will be very telling of what this team will do this season.

I would say this whole season has been very telling of what this team will do this season. They are what they are at this point.

Like I said in the other thread, if this team does make the playoffs, it will be quite a victory for the players. They are NOT a very good team. If they win today, I like their chances of squeaking in. If they lose, consider me a Blackhawks fan until the draft.

I sense a painful day ahead for me; Man Utd/Liverpool followed by Rangers/Bruins. Hopefully my two teams can pull through, though I've very little faith in the Rangers right now.

Exactly how I feel.

The Rangers have a shot - and I think the team they'll have the capability of catching is the Flyers who are now goalie-starved worse than ever. 2 of the last 3 are against them which could be a four point swing for the NYR.

Our last 8 aren't against terrific teams either - Leafs, Isles, TB, Florida, Sabres, Leafs, Flyers x 2.

Washington still kicks our ass in the first round no matter what, though.

Yup, exactly how I feel. They're probably going to win today 6-1 or something like that, and then they won't score another goal for the next week or so.

So odd seeing this board split into two on the whole "playoffs or high pick debate" never remember it being this bad, even though I've only been here for almost 3 seasons.

If the Rangers don't come out with any type of emotion then it is very clear that we'll be going in a downwards spiral down the standings. If this game doesn't get them at least a little pumped for such a big game, they'll keep on losing on the way to the end of the season.

Lets Go Rangers?

My birthday today! Don't know what I want at this point.. of course my gut wants a win and some miraculous playoff run, but obviously my mind is saying differently. Either way, let's go Rangers!

Cheers, how old? I'm 25, ironic Callahan and I share not only the same bday but year as well.

Even when I know the greater good is my team losing I can never actually root against them while watching a game.

Thanks! Haha, March 21st, 1988. So I'm 3 years younger than you both.

Well this is also one of the rare times that 4 points separates a playoff spot and a potential top 5 pick.
