I amused by the article where it judges "Unofficial assists" that is one of the more conjective debates. When juding hits and passes, one can argue that that is factored into the plus and minus debate. If a player makes a pass or a hit and are on the ice when the goal is scored--it reflects in the plus minus, same as if the screw up on the play and are on he ice when a goal is scored against. When looking at their opinion of hits and passes, you have to be at the games and not watching TV--anyone who has played hockey knows that the play away from the puck is 1/2 the battle and if someone is awarding points for hits and passes--they have to be at the game. I was a defensive forward and most of my checking happened away from the play

Thanks very much BB. I don't know how many caught it, but today in the Journal Matheson floated the idea of Tambellini hitting a home run and convincing Boston to hand over that Toronto 1st. He seemed to really be on board to take both Hall and Seguin, and said everyone on the roster and in the system should be in play with the exception of Eberle and MPS! He even suggested trading Hemsky, and cited Boston's impatient fans (not sure about the veracity of this) and their lack of scoring; we have 3 more goals than they do, though they have had some injuries to key offensive guys. I really do wonder what it would take. Would they really trade him??

Dare to dream...

That would indeed be something... drafting both Seguin and Hall.

If it cost 'us' Penner and Cogliano, I would be willing to bet we would see Jagr here as well.

Jagr Horcoff Hemsky
MPS Gagner Stafford
Hall Seguin Eberle
whomever

That is a young, but potent, top nine with a lot of promise and a big future (potentially).

If he was to pull that off it would be a coup for Tambo I have a feeling though it would be more like
Penner + Cogs+ maybe Omark (or other prospect) +nash 2nd/edm 2nd
for
salary dump (Ryder/Wideman)+TO 1st

would be a great day for the oil

Was really happy to see Lowetide's comments in response to the 'heart of the order' article, since it's felt like I'm the only anti-Quinn fan around sometimes. Pat Quinn is a problem, it's time we all step back and look at the fact of the matter - most of the team has regressed under Quinn; it's downright alarming actually. I shrugged it off when some friends in the east mocked my team for hiring him, but now I see why. He doesn't deserve a head coaching job in the new NHL.
