With Boucher letting a couple softies in today against Atlanta, who starts tuesday? Any chance its Duchense (sorry if spelled wrong) and also what about Backlund, whats his deal? When will he be ready?

it will be Boucher again. They have no other choice. Maybe if they find a way to score more then 1 or 2 goals they will have a chance to win.

No chance of any goalie other than Boucher unless the team does something drastic and picks up someone like Esche to get us to the playoffs. Which would be silly since you can't have a cold Boucher playing in Round 1.

Bouch. If we were out of the playoffs, we'd start anyone.

Probably Boosh. Lavvy does have a tendency to shake things up when things aren't going well, but I doubt he goes with someone besides Boosh.

Boucher. Anyone who thinks Backlund is the answer apparently forgot what he looked like in the preseason.

I would say no. Even if we signed him he wouldn't be able to play in the playoffs since he would have signed after the trade deadline. It would make zero sense to go into the playoffs to put in a goal who hasn't played in a few weeks.

True as that maybe that doesn't inspire any confidence. At least Boucher has played well at the NHL level before. Backlund has only been mediocre in the AHL in his North American career.

I don't care who starts; if we can only manage one goal, it doesn't matter.

Hahahahaha, in the very beginning of the second one (Bouch's glove save on Elias), you can hear someone scream, "******!"

seeing as our only chance to do anything in the postseason is boosh playing himself back into form, starting anyone else is a very, very stupid idea.

QFT.

Boosh needs to get hot and be the guy. We live and die by him at this point; starting one of our minor-leaguers (who aren't even good in the AHL) at this point is totally throwing in the towel.

Holmgren went and got Boucher because he is supposed to be a competent, veteran guy to turn to if you must. And when the deadline rolled around, he said he was fine with our situation.

Now it's time to see if all of his years' of experience can help him swim rather than sink. But throwing in Backlund or Duchesne is a slap in the face to Boosh and a white flag from management. And probably harmful to the development of either, who will get eaten alive in the trial by fire that is the final push to and (if we make it) into the playoffs. Not that either has much potential to worry about.

It's all Brian Boucher at this point.

That would be Ketih Jones, voicing his regret regarding the decision to pinch there, no doubt.

How could would it be if we could beat the Debs in the play-offs with Bouch in net? Similarly, how cool would it be to have Scarlett Johansson hand deliver a briefcase full of hundreds to me with no clothes on?

Boucher. We're pot committed at this point. Besides, throwing Duchesne to the wolves with zero NHL experience is not a good thing to be doing with 10 games left in the season and struggling to hold a playoff spot.

If Backlund was healthy he would have been recalled instead of Duchesne. Little chance Duchesne starts. If Backlund's condition is upgraded and he is activated, it wouldn't shock me if he started Thursday especially if the team loses Tuesday.

I care if our goalie gives up 2 soft goals in 1st period. Flyers would have to clime that wall once again against better Sens team. So what if we score 3 goals and go to OT. We still lose in SO.

Is that the break down?
