44dd

Does anyone know if Drewiske needs to clear waivers in order to head down to manchester? If not, then why don't the kings send him down? He was great last year and I thought he was pretty steady this year as well but evidently, TM sees something in Jones that's better. And although TM contemplated playing 44DD tonight, but again, opted for Jones. If he isn't going to be a top 6 on defense, let him play in manchester and help the monarchs at least, no?

Drewiske would be subject to waivers if he got sent down. He is 25 and it has been more than one year since he signed his first NHL contract. Not to mention that he would be ineligible for AHL playoffs since he would not be on the clear day roster it does not make much sense. But what makes even less sense is Jones back in the lineup .

I think its a cryin shame that Jones gets playiing time over DD44. Since he came back from his injury I think he played, what, two games? He needs to be in the lineup. he is far more of a defender than Jones, and even playing just ok he doesnt ever get out of position to the extent Jones is quite often. It makes even less sense when the coach in a post-practice quote from this morning is questionning himself about not playing Drewiske.

Hey TM if your questioning yourself, what do you think the fans are doing?

We want 3 puck-moving defenseman, and 3 stay-at-home defenseman...That's why DD is sitting. It's not that hard to understand TM's reasoning.

At this point I can see TM scratching OD for a couple of games. He has not been the same stay at home d-man who could be relied on, at least most of the time. I think DD44 could step in quite well, and this is just for a couple of games.

Jones is not that much better at moving the puck than 44DD. Jones is slow as hell and terrible at D, I think the only think keeping him in the lineup is that Murray's is familiar with him and he has a little bit better shot then 44DD. Davis should be given more of a chance, he has already supprised the hell out of me w/ the way he was playing before the injury. If anything though, they should rest O'Donnell a game or two and let him get in there for a few.

You read it correctly, you just had greater expectations.

That's actually an interesting point. I still think we're a better team with either 44DD or Harrold (who can move the puck just as well if not better than Jones) but as long as we're winning, I won't complaint-much.

Yeah, I think so too. Harrold played D in a game earlier this season, and I thought he was pretty solid. Jones is absolute garbage on D.

I'd like to see us give OD some rest for a couple games and put in DD and swap Jones with Harrold.
