This sucks......
either way, we don't need a call up, especially when they all suck, or are unknown at this point.

Because this team needs a shake up and missing the Playoffs might do just that, and who knows, maybe it'll make the team better in future seasons.

No one on the phantoms can score this season, so whats the point of replacing our 40 goal scorer with a prospect who can't score in the AHL? I like Legein and Kalinski but I still don't see them coming up when Asham is a healthy scratch. Even if we lose one more forward I'm sure Pyorala would get first dibs.

People seriously overrate our forward prospects. Maroon is a long term project to become anything, Legien should be a 2nd liner, and Kalinski should be an NHL checker, but we have NO future first line talent, and barely any future second line talent(Maroon/Legien maybe).

Nodl/Laliberte/Matsumoto/Ross/etc are NOT NHL players and have no hope at ever being NHL scorers, so I dont see why the hell they wouldn be called upon to replace Carter.

The college guys are unknowns to me at this point as I have not seen them play.

If we had a draft pick I wouldn't mind missing the playoffs, but at this point it will do nothing.

I obviously know why everyone is upset about this, but I think this may be a good thing in some way, shape, or form. And I am usually a pessimist in these type of situations.

But this injury will force guys to step up and play their hearts out to make the playoffs. I think you will see some serious heart from players, which is what we need to get a playoff atmosphere going.

Not that this injury is Homers fault, but after this, I am officially on the fire Homer list.

All his errors have added up way to much this season, and now were screwed. If he never made **** up A, B or C, we could have done something at the deadline to improve.

Oh well, what can you do?

I didn't have a glimmer of hope after Emery got injured so this doesn't matter to me. I'm just so unbelievably pissed we have no draft picks that would improve as we slide down the standings. **** Holmgren for ****ing this team right up.

I'm pretty happy we have a Norris contender though. Not happy on the way he handle other picks or the lack of goalie

Our future first liners are JVR and Giroux. Legs should be called up now, imho, to play on the third line, and you can bump Giroux up.

Flyers sold their soul to the devil to win their cups in the 70's. We will never, ever win again.

Having Pronger does nothing for me at this point. The team has to be improved in the coming year and must be a legitimate contender or I will forever hate that deal.

@AnthonySan37 (paraphrased)

Flyers want to bring up either Laliberte or Legein, but they are both injured. Expect Laliberte to get the call when he's healthy, probably this weekend.

laliberte is a garbage player. He is a floater. I really hope Legien or Pyorala come up before him

Yes, Pyorala has skill and can skate. He could play C too, if necessary. He's also an older guy, if in his first year here.

Well apparently he's fighting some kind of wrist injury, so for now Leino stays and Giroux moves to center one of the top 2 lines.

I moreso hate:
Upshall and 2nd for Carcillo
1st for Eminger +3rd
Gauthier +2nd for nothing

in 2 years thats one 1st, and 2 2nds for a 4th liner agitator, a garbage defensman and nothing. Those trade are FAR worse asset management than the Pronger deal. None of those trades have helped us win anything.

I won't complain about 2 firsts and Sbisa for a Norris caliber D man, who most definitely makes our team better, but yes we definitely need to improve our team this off season.
