people complain about his lack of scoring, but this guy has been the best player for the past few games. I hope this is the real him, not just the early call up success (which we've seen enough). He hits, he's really fast, smart, great PK and the scoring will come. Point is we shouldn't need him to score. The way he's playing right now is perfect, but I think eventually he will start potting some. Although people favour him to Pyatt I think they are BOTH great additions to the team. Pyatt is fast, has good hands and is early in his development. Once he gets that extra touch he's gonna be dangerous. Both help with zone entry and forecheck.

I agree that we were all ga-ga over Stewart last year, but I think it was more cuz he hit a lot. I don't think he is in the ballpark of overall talent as White and Pyatt. I'll give you this, Stewart has gone from one of my high hope prospects to one of my most hated.

Maybe not White, but Pyatt is in the same ballpark as Stewart.

Really? If you didn't yet notice the obvious skill disparity, may be checking the stats would give you a better idea. In the OHL, Stewart's best season, his last, was 39 points. Pyatt scored 81 points, including 43 goals, in only 58 games and represented Canada at WJC. While he took a couple of season or, actually, one and a half, to really become a force in the AHL, he was a front line player in Hamilton with 9 points, including 6 goals, in 11 games before the callup. White is closer in style to Stewart, as a strong, physical player, but you can't compare their skills. White was the fourth leading scorer in WHL after his draft year, and from what I remember, the habs were extatic to pick him in the third round as he was projected to go as high as the first. I remember a WHL against Russia game and the Russians were leading the game. Whitey was just outstanding there, winning his battles, hitting, making playes and scoring a big goal to help WHL team win that game. And more recently, against Columbus he made three very good plays on the same shift: intercepting a pass in the d zone, making a good outlet pass to laps, who sent MaxPac on a breakaway and, finally, setting Bergeron from behind the net for a goal. Impressive stuff from a rookie with 8 NHL games under his belt.

White has appeared to improve on his skating from Junior. That was really the only knock against him. If he continues to improve on it he will be a regular.

Looks like he gonna play with Gomez....well him and Pyatt. I'm not so worried about his scoring but must admit it would be bonus....and I see him putting some in at one point.
I can't put my finger on it but White has shown something special....mostly noticed wen thing don't realy go well for others...he comes out and hits, moves the puck and hit some more.....simple but still there is just something there that you don't see in others players. Simple game but special simple game.

I didn't want him sent down in the first place (earlier this season). He brings some great energy and is a warrior. Just imagine (if we make the playoffs) him on the same line with Moen. Ultimate grinding line..

Love White; the guy has balls. It's definitely the kind of guy I like to see playing for the habs. He kind of reminds me of Kostitsyn. Looks like a boy but has attitude and likes to stir **** up.

Pacioretty should learn from this guy.

His fight with Guerin was very impressive. It looked like he took two or three good shots from Guerin. But was still able to come back and manhandle him at the end of the fight.

The kid's a keeper. He finally brings some intensity to our 4th line. I think when we're healthy our top 6 isn't a big problem; sure, we don't have a franchise forward and we lack some size, but our bottom 6 was just plain useless. We need a line that forechecks hard and relieves some pressure from the other lines instead of it being a line with the team's spare parts.

I consider Conboy as a mystery... he has a big body but he need to fill out.l On the Bulldog's website he is listed at 6'4'' 200 lbs. When I look at his stats... nothing is very impressive. But I've never really look him play. Is he still a bad ass like he was at the university ?
