Selšnne's RbK/ JOFA helmet- Olympics

the man has been wearing, pretty much the same helmet for his whole career.
Don't think that happens all too much. Maybe its the JOFA helmet that got him his 600th goal

so is that RbK model custom made for him. don't think i'll ever understand the lovefest of him with that helmet. Enlighten me...

No, it's not. It's the RBK 5k model they sell in Europe. He gets 'em new from RBK, it's not just one helmet that he's kept like Butch Goring's pair of helmets were. Those were literally the exact same two helmets through his entire career.

As for keeping the same helmet, it's no different then the guys who kept with the CCM HT2 or the Bauer 4000/ Nike4000/ NikeBauer4500/ Bauer 4500 (all the same helmet with very minor changes). Or Gretsky's PoS Jofa that was intended for Bandy and served no purpose except for looking pretty.

Oh, think I'm kidding?

That's a much lower end one. Note the crappy padding and lack of separate ear pieces.

Find a place in europe that will ship you one if you want one.

I think your hair is more protection than that plastic shell would provide you.

Do note that its in Europe and its in their money not ours. i figured its about $80's to get one so it can't be that low end and its just like the old jofa helmets.

Upon further review, it doesn't seem to be the Europe 5k.

But the one he's wearing does have pro ear loops, not the molded in stuff the one you pulled up has.

Also, a word about exchange rates- don't convert back to dollars. Yes, that's about $70. But a $10 item in the US will typically be 10 pounds in the UK and 10 euros in the EU. That's why a weak dollar sucks when traveling.

It's a 366, which is just the 390 that Mario got rid of the solid ear pieces for ear loops, hence the model number.

You can see Jagr's 390 then Mario's regular ear loops on his 366.

What's the attraction though? Old school look? Light weight? Comfort?

I've got an old black 390 that I never use anymore if someone wants to take it off my hands. I'm located in NYC, but I can ship.

so you're saying the one Teemu is wearing is a higher end model?

the one posted is a Reebok HT3K (hence the classic Reebok branding)
but the one Teemu is wearing is branded RbK, the modern branding
