Sharks kill penalty...one minute left for the Wild's playoff hopes.

Ugh, another playoff-less season for the Wild, I can't wait for June to be here.

It could be worse...we could be just Timberwolves fans.

Yeah, I suppose we don't have it that bad. I am excited to see what they can do in about 3 years too. Not much of a basketball fan, but I wouldn't mind watching them if they didn't suck so bad.

I was disappointed in that 3rd period effort, wish they would have put more into it.

I like basketball, but between the Timberwolves and the Wizards the two teams have just about killed the NBA for me.

And I agree about the third period effort. It seems as if that goal seventeen seconds into the game just killed any momentum.

What differentiates the Gophers from other college teams is that until recently they relied on homegrown talent (still mostly do) and don't recruit out of Canada. Most of the top Minnesota players wear the "M" and they usually have at least one first-round draft pick. They are also one of the most successful teams on a consistent basis although only have five national titles to show for it.
thanks. too bad the wild lost.

Yeah, that would just about do it. I'm more into college basketball, being a student at the U, and I just find it more exciting because they don't hit every shot, but I like all sports. It probably goes hockey, football, baseball, basketball, but hockey football and baseball are all really close to each other.

Watching the Timberwolves pretty much killed me for NBA basketball.

If it's a sport, I will watch it. Although with that said, hockey wins out because I've been a rink rat for years and football is a close second due to the insanity the Vikings have put me through.

Yeah, this year was especially hurt. Thought this was our year for sure, but we will have another good year this year. I prefer it when people don't want to pick us as favorites, we come back with a good draft and the Vikes will be fine.

I feel the same way about the Wild, we've seen flashes of brilliance, but it hasn't been totally consistent. I think that we will have a nice draft and get some quality talent in this draft so that will at least be exciting.

Just got home from the game. First off, let me thank BigT2002 for selling me his tickets for this game and the Chicago game upcoming, you couldn't have asked for any better seats.. great view. I'll post pictures if anyone wants to see them.

As far as the actual game went, wow, we looked so sloppy tonight. Passes weren't crisp, nobody skated particularly well, lots of dumb giveaways, and terrible board play. Backstrom wasn't great either, from my view, that 3rd goal was on him. Gotta make that stop in a one goal game.

Latendresse is so sleek out there, very fun to watch in person. Burns looked pretty good other than a few bad pinches, but I think we're going to have to live with that. I think tonight was a night where we really missed Bouchard, personally. I miss that little guy
