Handzus has been good in the shootouts. He would have been a better choice.

A shot off the post is just a glorified shot wide.

When you hit the post, you didn't beat the goalie, he beat you.

i too would have put quick back in net for the SO

quick did play in this game so he's not completely cold. Ersberg was pitiful in the edmonton shootout.. had 3 chances to WIN the game and came up w/ very short.

Quick is downright filthy in the shootout and i think it would have given the kings the best chance to win. Ersberg DESERVED to play it.. but i still think quick woulda given the team the best chance.

I know, I'm just giving you a hard time. I'm glad I didn't watch the first period. My poor Quicker.

Ersberg needs to us the poke check in shootouts. He would have easily stopped the third shot with a poke check.

THIISSSS

Every time Jim names out the shooters, I'm always expecting Kopitar, Johnson and ____.. I'm always praying it's Handzus, even Stoll has been good in the shootout

No but it's not like he completely ****ed up. He had the top right corner picked. He missed it by an inch. It's not like it was a bad shot.

I'll take the point but I do worry about how emotionally draining the game was and how it will affect tomorrows game. Luckily the Blues also played tonight.

If the Kings play .500 the rest of the way, they will have 100 pts.

In the battle of Smyth wanting to score and Anderson wanting to keep the puck out, who won? Yeah, whoops.

We really need those 2 points in St. Louis though, Quick should be rested, hopefully Greene is good to go

I would like to thank the Avs for giving us Richardson. He's a pretty good player, that guy.

The Kings would have won this game without the circus show in the first period, but a point is a point is a point. We'll take it.

I guess Quick beat Galiardi on Monday night when he made him miss the open net. Quick won that battle.

That was more a case of Galiardi beating himself.

I don't understand the JJ hate but our fanbase always has to have the goat of the game so I won't think much of it.

Ersberg gave us a chance, too bad his five-hole was wide open and Smyth hit the crossbar.

Oh, and LOL at the Flames.

Now, as for the game.

I'm very pleased with their effort, clearly we're the better team and we outplayed them, the refs probably didn't like the penalty they gave colorado in OT during Monday's game and thought that they would give LA 857478 penalties in the first period.

TM, why you using Ryan Smyth as your third shooter? OK, he's been playing well, but you have a bunch of other options? Brown? Handzus? Frolov (who played very well), Richardson? Modin? I mean, any of those guys are more skilled than Smyth.

Good point, now let's get 2 in St. Louis tomorrow, that's the most important thing
That.
I would also like to state that we should never play Ersberg in shoot-outs regardless of playing a great normal game like he did tonight. I really wouldn't be surprised to see Ersberg play tomorrow. We will greatly need Quick in the playoffs and with all the rest he can get would be great.
