That's freakin awesome to hear. Oh by the way he can fight and is a pretty dang tough! Okay a little early but can't wait for the prospects camp. Gonna be exciting to see who we draft this year too. Never ever been more exciting for our prospects. Bernier, Schenn, Hickey, Loktionov, Voynov, Clifford, etc.....

He plays pretty much the same game as Simmonds, but is willing to fight a lot more.

Again, awesome pick by the Kings. I can't recall having so many great prospects to get excited about in my life time.

I think Clifford's potential is between the second and third line, which isn't bad.

Give Lombardi time. He's got the defense going, then the goalies, now he's working on the forwards.

I asked one of my good buddies, Eric O'Dell, who plays for the Sudbury Wolves, used to be a Anaheim Ducks prospect, but was traded at last year's deadline to Atlana. I asked him to describe to me Kyle Clifford in one word, seeing as Barrie played Sudbury in the first round of this year's playoffs, he said "nails, the guy is tough to play against." I think that pretty much sums up Kyle Clifford, another good prospect

Kyle Clifford is going to be one of those guys who, like Simmonds, will be brutal to play against in the playoffs. I like the mix of toughness, skill and character that Lombardi is building.

I certainly agree that we need more pure-skill but we're in great shape.

Clifford-Schenn-Simmonds line OH MY!!!!

Plus Muzzin was ranked as best defensive defensemen and 2nd best offensive defensemen behind only Ryan Ellis.... what a great signing by DL and scouts if he really is that good. Any comments on any one who has seen him play?

I know that we all have mad love for Clifford, but I'm more impressed with Muzzin's ranking. To be ranked the best defensive dman; the hardest shot; the best body checker AND second offensive dman...why, that's almost Doughtyesque, no? And, the kid can also throw some.

Way to go DL!!!

The content of your posts is becoming much more funny than the colorful language. I think you watch a different team than the rest of us.

Don't forget Doughty. They turned him into a liability. Oh yeah, Richardson too. He's awful.

They also like to hamper their prospects by hiring thugs to break and dislocate their shoulders. You think Hickey, Loktionov and Lewis and Drewiske are all a coincidence? Shows how much you know!

He's a 21 year old playing against mostly 16-17-18 year olds... I think it means very little... however, my fingers are crossed that it means a lot. GO KINGS

I'll bet KC turns out to be a well-above average 3rd-liner, bringing lots of strength, steadiness and toughness, as well as perhaps 30-pts or so per year to a valuable support role, playing 12-15 minutes-a-game.

He will close-off the critical "dot-to-board" area when the other team has the puck, but can force the puck thru & past some people using his brute strength, or even play a little "chip & chase" like Simmonds, though he lacks Simmond's speed.

Think of him as a slower, but considerably more powerful, version of Simmonds, with possibly nearly as much skill.

His quick jump up to a pt-per-game this season indicated he has more than marginal skill. How much more, time will tell.

But this was a sweet pick for us, in light of the standout skill guys we also have coming like,
Schenn, Loktionov, Hickey, Voinov and maybe even Kozun too.

Look for Kyle to make a bigtime bid for The Show this summer and fall,
although he's still most likely to make the jump at 20, in the 2011-12 season
like Simmonds did last year.

Don't forget----Kyle doesn't turn 20 until next January!

Not too sure about that. Kings are going to be a much better team (hopefully anyways) than when Simmonds made the team. I'm all for it if he can make it, but I think the odds are against him.

I talked to Darryl Evans about a week ago. He said that both Schenn and Clifford nearly made the Kings this year. So, I think Clifford is farther along than you might think.
