Coming from a guy who plays volleyball (moi) at a pretty high level...its not easy trying to stop a vball or for that matter even make contact with a damn volleyball if your right under it aka in position and then your ****ing teammate deflects it away from that position...matter a fact its pretty impossible considering how hard some of the balls are hit…

So instead of trolling why don’t you show your self the x button in the top right hand corner and GTFO

So you obviously didn't watch the game and just saw the final score.
Try watching more games and trolling less.

As long as we squeak into the playoffs, in I-don't-care-what place, I can absorb this defeat. It just seemed business as usual that Buffalo would F us in the end anyway.

We actually played a great hockey game, all things considered.

TBH I'd rather play the caps or pens than the sabres in 1st round anyways.

it's the exact opposite of that game the other week where gio and gomez scored in the last 2 minutes and we won in shootout.

I felt the exact same way until last night, but now I'm not so sure. We really outplayed them. Still lost, yeah, but looked impressive enough to convince me we could beat them in a long series. The Pens have been to the final twice and it concerns me that they may be a team that has a sense of when to turn it on at the right time. The Caps are a team that could be stunned if they run into a hot goalie in the first round.

The main difference between Halak and Price this year is Price gets 2.38 goals/game of offense while Halak gets 2.97.

Both goalies have been good this year, one has just been lucky enough to get some better goal support. Just a statistical anomaly there.

Halak also has a .923 save percentage.

Price has .911.

There is more than one difference this year.

I said the main difference, not the only difference. This season, Halak has saved 1.3% more shots than Price has this season. With Montreal allowing 32.3 shots/game.

Taking those save percentages and the shots/game allowed by the Habs, that means that Price allows .39 goals/game more than Halak. Halak's goal support is .59 goals/game higher than Price's. In terms of the team's win-loss record with the two goalies, the goal-support difference is a bigger factor than the save percentage difference.

Price has one regulation loss in games the team scores 3 goals or more. His record is something like 13-1-5.

Halak gets 3 goals per game on average.

But you are right in the fact Halak has been better. But the fact the team has played significantly better in front of him might have something to do about that.

Yeah we get it, we all know Halak has been superior to Price this season.

You don't need to feel offended everytime someone tries to show why Price doesn't get more win.

You can't deny the fact that the teams score more goals with Halak in net than Price... and scoring more goals does help a goalie win a game.

Like I said in the last GDT, Price only fails once to give his team a point when the team scores more than 2 goals.

So 40 saves, a stupid penalty and a missed check by Hammer is Price's fault???

Not to mention each goal scored was 6 on 4 and 6 on 5???
