When things get ugly... Halak makes the important saves. Price didn't yesterday. He let in one goal and after the first one. He couldn't stop a volley ball.
Coming from a guy who plays volleyball (moi) at a pretty high level...its not easy trying to stop a vball or for that matter even make contact with a damn volleyball if your right under it aka in position and then your ****ing teammate deflects it away from that position...matter a fact its pretty impossible considering how hard some of the balls are hit…
So instead of trolling why don’t you show your self the x button in the top right hand corner and GTFO
TBH I'd rather play the caps or pens than the sabres in 1st round anyways.
I felt the exact same way until last night, but now I'm not so sure. We really outplayed them. Still lost, yeah, but looked impressive enough to convince me we could beat them in a long series. The Pens have been to the final twice and it concerns me that they may be a team that has a sense of when to turn it on at the right time. The Caps are a team that could be stunned if they run into a hot goalie in the first round.
I said the main difference, not the only difference. This season, Halak has saved 1.3% more shots than Price has this season. With Montreal allowing 32.3 shots/game.
Taking those save percentages and the shots/game allowed by the Habs, that means that Price allows .39 goals/game more than Halak. Halak's goal support is .59 goals/game higher than Price's. In terms of the team's win-loss record with the two goalies, the goal-support difference is a bigger factor than the save percentage difference.
