HUGE 2 points. Halak wasn't great, but he didn't need to be. Still, he played solid and got the W.

Gionta is a warrior.

Price was very unlucky not to play tonight.

Was close to being a clone of last night.

Good game

I said he played solid and got the W. Really, that's all that matters.

Would you say he was great tonight?

Couple of great saves, couple of empty net insurance goals. Satisfied with the result. Happy with the current state of the playoff race. Gotta be the avys.

Making up for the one we couldn't get last night, we get 2 empty netters. But for those who say they've never seen that, they must not go back to 2004. Behold Game 6 vs. Boston:

I think Gio's effort on the 2nd EN was a message to the team. Never sit back. He's all business on every single shift. I love it.

He's damaged goods on skates after the Richards hit. Very unfortunate...

Good game. Thank god we didn't **** it up like we did vs Buffalo. Two empty net goals = awesome.

What is important are CLUTCH and timely saves. Halak makes them early in the game when we need them. Yea he lets in soft goals, but its usually when we have a 2+ goal lead.

First of all, it's not the first thing I would think of posting after a 4-1 win, and second of all, I thought he played a great game. Even got the second star.

Just immediately poisons the discussion when it starts like that.

Same game as yesterday, except the team learned their lesson last night and didn't bail. Everyone did what they were supposed to do, Pouliot played a bit better. Our best defenseman was Gorges, he's so solid it's unbelievable ! The checking line did a great job and Moen's a scary mother****er now, he looked like Harvey Dent (or Kirk Muller for some folks) from The Dark Knight in his interview with Renaud Lavoie before the 3rd.

I feel bad for Carey tho, he deserves to start next game but he won't.

(Laughing) I see where this thread is headed already.

Anyways, Habs are playing some good hockey. Yesterday's meltdown was just bizarre. This is definitely a playoff team. It should be fun!
