Not every win has to be epic. Great D-playing, Halak did what a goalie should and stopped the pucks he needed too. Good top-6 effort.
My only concern was that the panthers were confident enough to pull Vokoun with like 2:15 left, and this was only with a one goal deficit. Coaches probably saw the game last night and knew the Habs wouldn't do **** to stop them. Except, you know, score two empties.

It was an analysis of the game.. I said he wasn't great, but he didn't need to be. Still, he was solid and got us the W.

You're looking into it too much. Do you wait at your computer to respond to every post that mentions Halak?

Why does he deserve to start? Do you honestly think HE IS MORE DESERVING THAN HALAK?

Don't get me wrong, Price is a great goalie, but can you explain why you think he is MORE deserving than Halak?

Did anyone see that blocked shot by Gorges? He should be captain.

Price = Habs always find a way to lose.
Halak = Habs always find a way to win.

Halak = Better choice

Just saw a replay of the Spacek hit, totally legal but he also hit Booth right on the nose. Didn't see that on the RDS view. His nose looks busted up.

According to Sportsnet the league has already said they don't have an issue with the Spacek hit which is the right call.

Great game by our 3rd line. I love those guys.

Congrats to Pleks for his 100th goal.

Also, I can't say enough how much I love Gionta. What an EN goal.

Yeah that was an awesome blocked shot, but as far as captaincy , it's not worthy + I don't think he has any experience as captain somewhere else.

It's a funny way of saying a goalie played a solid game, don't you think? And that you would want to establish a negative fact from the get go about one player is rather odd, yes.

Moore is a clever player. Clever clever clever.

Not being able to reliably clear the defensive zone under pressure still remains an issue with the team. I hope they'll find a solution about that.

But all in all, it seems like yesterday's lesson has been learnt. Good.

Oh, did I say Moore is a clever player ?

And I really really hope Booth will turn out okay. Makes me hate Richards even more.

Seriously, this style of play in the third is just pissing me off.

We played the freakin Panthers and almost let them comeback tonight. This is a team that won't make the playoffs and is one of the worst offensive teams in the league!Thankfully Pleks got the EN goal. At least Jack put Pleks with Moen and Sergei to defend the lead.

Halak played a solid game tonight.

Can't beleive we benched Metropolit tonight for Lapierre. Martin's decision make no sense.

Same could be said about Gionta last in the 3rd blocking a shot and then the fight to get his 2nd goal,Gio is amazing!

Price was much more tested last night and had to do much more in the 3rd to keep the lead, although we know how that ended than what Halak faced. Yes, Halak got the win but his performance was less spectacular than Price's. I won't care if we beat the Devils Saturday with either goalie in net, cause it would be HUGE game to win and clinch our playoff spot. Ride whoever's hot, but as far as I'm concerned it'll be hard for Jacques Martin to decide which goalie starts after the performances they had.

If Dvorak didn't score, I would have kept going on thinking Florida had a new player. When he did score, I thought" Great, another rookie gets his first against us"

Nope, just Benoit and Pierre can't pronounce names. Vorjack ? You ****ed in the head, or something ?

Buffalo outshoots Montréal 42-28 and Montréal gets a point against the best team in the Northeast division. Montréal outshoots Florida, 31-24. Montréal wins, which at one point looked to be turning out the same, and Halak is suddenly superior ?

Nah, nah. This team doesn't play the same in front of Halak as they do in front of Price, which is ********. Though, almost none of you are willing to admit it. Though, no worries. I told a buddy of mine this would happen. Halak would win, and everyone will think he is >>>>>>> Price.
