Because weve snuck into the playoffs each of the last three seasons and it seems to get less and less plausible that we are going to pull it off each time. This would be following that trend.
The guy is a good fighter and does a nice job playing... He actually has the speed to make some hits and make some defensive plays. Shelley is a guy you can survive with in today's NHL in terms of his play.
Prust is good as well. I'd keep him around.
Christensen keeps getting better... He played well. He might be the type of kid that learns a ton from a guy like Drury.
And yes... Drury is overpaid but the guy is a nice player. Shame we are using so much of our cap on him.
Where Shelley is now in the lineup is where Byers should be every day next season.

well i think we've been having good luck when i decide to watch the game 30 minutes late because i watched jeopardy instead .. the islanders game and this game
sorry for intruding but i think the devils deserved the victory. henrik really played lights out and made some amazing saves. take nothing away from the rangers though.. sometimes the better team loses and thats just sports. have a good night enjoy the victory and hopefully we'll see u in the playoffs.

Yeah I had to listen to him the whole game. He's so damn annoying it's unbelievable!! I'd rather listen to Emrick during every single hockey game for the rest of my life than to listen to that ****** one more time! This was just one example of many dumb things he said. And does he really have to yell like that? Gave me a headache!
I just got back from this game. Best day of my friggin' life. Devils fans were in shock when Drury tied the game with 16 seconds and I went nuts with my friends. I got the last laugh on all those loser Devils fans it was WONDERFUL! By far the best game I've seen! Playoff push baby. We can do this our schedule is very good.
I'd also like to add that while I was at the game Devils fans in my section started a pretty loud "Keep Glen Sather" chant. I pray to God that man retires soon.
I was out drinking my worries away. I checked the score and we were down by 1 with like a minute left, so I just said "ok then, I guess it's a win win at this point". Then I checked a little later and noticed they won. Was it a good game? Who stood out?
I noticed Drury came through in the clutch for a change
1 - Chico Resch is still the most intolerable announcer of all time
2 - Christensen was a freaking steal for us. We should definitely keep him the way he's been playing. He has top-6 skill and the least is a very effective third liner that you can move around
3 - Lundqvist was insane. People were making sarcastic remarks in another thread at people who said we'll never get a lottery pick because of him. Well - you're going to have to eat your words now. He stole this game and was really freaking good in the Islanders game as well. We're not getting a lottery pick if he keeps playing like that. I want a lottery pick as much as anyone else, but I'm can't possibly be upset when he (and the team) plays like that against rival teams
Chico is by far and away is the most annoying commentator. My wife asked if he was drunk. Even she couldn't stand to hear him speak. Tonight was the worst amount of homer comments I've heard him riddle off. He definitely stooped to a new low.
Right from the get-go Crusher clearly stepped up his game, he was flyin out there. I want him back as well.
