LA fan wanting to see a Devils game.

My girlfriend and I will be visiting NYC in a few weeks and I wanted to catch a Devils game while I was out there. I want to know where is a good place to sit that is affordable, also anything else I should know about the area. Any good places to eat before the game?

i'd recommend either sitting in the upper level or bottom (best value's IMO)

If you're in the area for the Boston or Columbus mid-week games then you can get decent seats for cheap (below face) on stubhub. The weekend games and the Rangers and Penguin games will be a much tougher ticket. Most of the cheap seats are probably gone but you can always check ticketmaster.

FYI, there are $10 tickets that go on sale day of the game only. After that the next cheapest seats are $35 then $56.

What days will you be in the area?
There are a lot of games in March.

I saw this on another Devils forum:

http://www.ticketmaster.com/promo/eboyaw

Upper level 2 tickets for $50 and the lower level seats are 2 tickets for $80.

March 15 vs Bruins
March 23 vs Blue Jackets
March 30 vs Bruins

try and find out before hand in the GDT where the locals are meeting up. meet a few of our fans and shoot the breeze, have a beer, etc. plenty of watering holes around the rock. you guys will have a good time.

I get free tickets so if you just paid me some money in gas to get out there I'd give you guys a couple 90.00 tickets. I get a free trip out there, you get good tickets for cheap, we all win.

The best places to catch a bite before the game are Scullys, Hells Kitchen and Brick City Bar and Grill. Check the sticky Pru Center thread up top.

Lol, its ok. I've seen a lot of Devil games on TV, always liked D focused teams. Stevens and Niedermayer made the Devils my fav team after the Kings

Watch out for the guidos. They'll try to get with your girl.

If you are going to be here the week of March 17, try to get tix to the St Patrick's Day game vs Pittsburgh.
Should be a very festive atmosphere for many reasons.
Or if you can catch a Devs-Rags game just for the experience in the stands.

Let us know what game you decide on and post your feedback afterwards too.

So I ended up going to the game against the Bluejackets. It was a great and fun experience, if anybody saw some guy walking around in a Kings hat...that was me..lol. We sat pretty close, like 11 rows from the ice behind the net where the devils shot twice. I had a great time, we ate at Brick City...good food. I thought the arena was beautiful, loved the jerseys and the paintings. My girlfriend loved the "Rangers suck" chant and the "Hey, you suck" after the devils score.
Also really liked the info on where players come out, cause my girlfriend's favorite player is Sammy Pahlsson from when he was on the Ducks. She got to meet him after the game. After all was said and done we walked away with a Parise and a Stevens shirt and great time.

Thanks NJ Devils

Glad to hear you had a good time.
I was also at that game and the Devs put on a good show.

Next time you are in the area during the season, try to make it to a game vs a rival like the Rags or Penguins.

Good luck with the Kings, they are my favorite team out West.
