"Soft Gomez" tonight...

I mean, yeah, it was the Rangers, but the top row in almost every balcony section was completely empty, and two or three of the Club sections were spotty, at best.

Also, surprised at the number of Rags fans that turned out tonight...

I mean, I haven't been to a NYR-NJD game since the Meadowlands, but there was easily 4-5,000 donning the blue and white tonight.

Perhaps your right...

Just seemed like a lot cause they're scattered throughout the building and pretty loud?

Meh... Who cares anyway? These two teams play ten miles apart.

NO WAY there were 5,000 Rangers fans there last night.

And once again...some MORON coming down the escalator talking about attendance...you just freakin' won the game, a game that your team needed and you're talking about OUR attendance!

Who's obsessed?

No way even close to 5K in Rangers fan. I'd believe maybe 2500, regardless of what they say.

I especially love the "I don't care if we don't make the playoffs, as long as we beat the Devils" comments! What the **** is wrong with you?

If I could see the Devils win the Stanley Cup every year, I'd trade every win against the Rangers in. No problem.

They'll care when their team is golfing and ours is still playing games that matter. Have fun discussing your draft pick and Sather's next stupid signing.

And they say we're obsessed with them. That statement is pretty good proof that at least some of them are obsessed with us too.

I'm sure you did, because I heard the same thing as well! I heard a lot of those things from those MORONS last night!

response: "you still lost!"

my response: " yep, and even with this win, your're still in 10th place!"

Did ANYONE see the signs from the goal bar when NJ Devil was tossing t-shirts?

It was actually one of the posters on here that had him (or at least his brother anyway)..

"10th place clown show" and "Queen Henrik Pulquist"!

I noticed the signs during the pre-game skate and chuckled.

Same here, brah.

When some clown in the top of 229 tried to get a "Let's Go Rangers!" going, I responded with "Make the Playoffs!" to the same tune, and that kept that guy tongue-tied for a good ten minutes.

I got some jackass talking about attendance as well...

All I said was "Stanley Cups are better than a sold out arena."

He smiled like an ******* and remained quiet until we reached the door.

But in reality the Rags hardly ever sellout. Ask some Rags season ticket holders and they will tell you on most nights there are plenty of empty seats over there.
Tickets are only hard to come by when they play us or other rivals.

Do they draw more than us on most nights, yes. But they are not a guaranteed sellout, Dolan buys the rest of the tickets so he can announce 18,200.

Hence, the "Dolan Sellout" that you will see referenced here on occasion which has been neglected in favor of "Soft Gomez" lately.

all things considered (and you need to take into account their current situation), I think this was by far the most well-behaved group i have seen in years.

It sucked walking out, but it wasn't god awful like some other times.

Obviously not "original," but I felt so clever yelling that in 229 as I'd never heard it before...

(Oh, and I was going to say hello to you... Couldn't spot the McKay jersey, though.)

Looking ahead, I am hopeful for a decent crowd vs Boston in another important game for both teams. Will Rags fans be stupid enough to show up and cheer on Boston?

I think Chicago on 4/2 will be a "Hard Gomez" (No perverted responses please).

Other than the mooks in Hell's yeah the crowd wasn't too bad this time. I love when the Rangers suck, the d-bag bandwagoners don't show up.

Row 5, seat 6. I wasn't in my seat for the 2nd though - I was chillin in a suite with some work folks and a vendor (mostly Ranger fans though so I left). The dancers and NJ came in and I was the only one wearing anything Devils - NJ pointed right at me and does the heart pounding thing with his fist, then points around and just threw up a WTF type shrug - pretty funny.
