they're playing 6 of 8 on the road. and the Sabres are 1 point behind us with a game in hand. it's hard to play sub .500 hockey.

the Bruins record this month? 6-6-1. .500

the Flyers? 5-6-3. a point under .500

Oh, and Mark Stall actually hit someone in this game and it looked like he was really trying too.

Not his usual fake hits to please the NYR brass, which is also used to somehow show how he will be the cornerstone of the NYR defense and that a #12 overall draft pick in the draft wasn't a bust, which it certainly has been thus far considering his expectations.

Huh? He was superb in shutting out the NYI 24-hours prior to last night's game.

We're a better team than the Islanders. Playing them and then playing us is not the same as playing a team of our calibre twice.

I don't know if he could keep up that level of play over a whole series.

He's a great goalie, but that kind of pace would be really hard to keep up over an entire series. I didn't see the Islander-Rags game, but I find it hard to believe the Isles had the quality and quantity of chances the Devils did. If they did, that makes Queen performance more impressive, but could he do that four times in a seven game series? Of course this assumes that the Devils offense keeps up that pace which is admittedly questionable...

But they're in a must-win situation game after game now so it doesn't matter who their opponents are. These are almost exactly like playoff games for all intents and purposes.

Hank doesn't have the physical and mental stamina of a normal human being to handle the rigors of a long, grueling season and then expect to turn it up in the postseason.

He has played great the last 2 games, but is already wearing his mind out before the playoffs have even started, which is all-right by me.

That is, if they even make the playoffs.

Boston gets the Sutter Cow-Town Puppet Show at home tomorrow.

If they don't get up for a weakened opponent in their own building with the playoffs on the line, I don't know what will...

...after getting blasted by the Bolts, at home..

..sigh.

I would love to draw Juilen in round 1.

Look at the Capitals series last year. A hot goaltender can only go sooooooo far.

I'm still not over this loss and won't be for a long long time. I'm a guy that looks at results. The "played well" crap is way overrated imo. You gotta win, especially when you had the lead with 15 seconds to go.

Now we've given them a huge chance of getting back in and that pisses me off. What a ****ing frustrating loss!

It's not like this one was just another regular season game. It was a game against our biggest rival, a game we should've won. It would've put us in a much better position and it would've almost killed their chances at making the playoffs. Now they're in it.

It pisses me off because we were 15 seconds away from 2 points and 0 for them. Instead we ended up with 1 and they with 2. Frustrates the crap outta me! I hate nothing more in this life than losing to the Rangers. That will never change!
