Backlund just did a butterfly slide across the crease, post to post, as a pass was coming across the ice. Perfect. And he stopped a shot from the blue line. I already love him more than Boosh. He got scored on twice on Thursday from the blue line because he refused to butterfly slide across the crease and just stepped across.

I was so excited when we signed Boosh as he was my childhood hood goalie idol, during the playoff run he won me over as a 13 year old. But this is what have you done for me lately.

The guys name in the Pens uniform is Fleury.... is that what you mean? Because the guy in the Flyers uniform is Backlund and playing pretty damn composed for playing his first NHL game.

Slow in the crease? I thought someone else said he was being super-agressive. To me that usually means moving around quickly at risk of throwing yourself wildly out of positiong.

If someone could keep updating how he's doing, that'd be great...stuck at work with no streaming audio or video.

Very active on the puck, attacking it in front of the net, going after it in the trapezoid... He's playing alright this far, but he needs to calm that down before he ends up with a bad turnover.

I think he's just a bit nervous. After this period, I think he'll calm down.

gotcha. Sounds like the boys came to play today...at least so far. I'm glad Hartnell looks like he gives a damn today.
