Perrott vs. Zanon - Perrott wins fight (lands 3 or 4 good shots)
Notes:...Jackman set up Gavey on a beautiful pass that nearly went in...Alfredsson (beat Tellqvist 5 hole)& Giourx (on a Domi giveaway) scored for the Senators...Marchment had probably the Leafs best scoring chance...Kondratiev & Perrott are looking sharp;Hedin,Domi not...
Notes: Phillips scored on a HORRIBLE Kelly giveaway...Marchment gets 2 slashing minors...Kondratiev nearly scored on a breakaway...Mogilny gets Toronto's only goal of the period...Tucker levels a Senator with a great body check...
I think the Sens have something to prove this season.....I feel they are getting really tired of hearing fans (mostly Torontonians) tell them that they are the classic under-achievers.....they are wanting to send a message to the Leafs in these 2 pre-season games......but the Leafs management aren't dummies....I'm sure they'll go out and make the moves necessary to advance far in the playoffs.
Anybody out there have a complete listing of this afternoons lineups for both clubs?
Ottawas Lineup:
Forwards
19 Petr Schastlivy
21 Bryan Smolinski
11 Daniel Alfredsson
26 Vaclav Varada
38 Daniel Corso
25 Chris Neil
28 Todd White
39 Jason Spezza
45 Denis Hamel
49 Chris Kelly
43 Serge Payer
47 Alexandre Giroux
Defense
4 Chris Philips
23 Karl Rachunek
5 Wade Brookbank
46 Greg Zanon
24 Anton Volchenkov
51 Andy Hedlund
Goalies
1 Ray Emery
31 Martin Prusek
Prusek will play the game out. Also, not positive what our line combos are, though I can tell you that Spezza has been centering Alfie and White all game. This game is blacked out up here in Ottawa, grrrrr!
I've been listening to this game online, and I haven't heard if Coliacovo has been playing. I thought he played incredible last night, and I'm pretty stoked for the kid.
Tucker vs. Neil (win Neil)
Palahnuk vs. ????? (The two done alot of shirt grabbing before they started throwing 'em.)
Marchment vs. Payer (Marchment win)
Notes: Leafs heavily outmanned....Perrott nails big Brookbank...many player shovings,etc.....Marchment levels Rachunek, which results in his fight...Tucker takes on Neil after two Senators try to both take on Nath Perrott.

I think on paper the Sens had a much better lineup last night compared to this afternoon's........but the Leafs got beat up pretty good today, more so than in yesterday's game.......
I have to remind myself that this is only pre-season but I'm still a little worried about our defence......Can't wait to see how Ken Klee plays in a Leafs jersey.
The 5 fights made up for the Leafs terrible performance!
Geez...........that's what I use to say about the Leafs during the Ballard years........I love fights but I'd much rather have won the hockey game today......Oh well.

you should have seen the Marchment bout. It was hysterical!
That's an awsome site.......I have it saved under "favorites"......can't wait to see him post it up on his site......I almost forgot about that one......I haven't been there in a while.......I should go there and pay it a visit and see if he's added anything since I last was there.
