I'm not even upset with this loss...It was expected and how the game unfolded is exactly what I expected... Huge 2 points lost though..

How the Habs play against the non playoff teams the rest of the season is what's worrying me...

Pouliot has to wake the %$/ up

Bergeron was brutal tonight, really brutal.

And Martin should have called up Darche for this game; he is a guy who spends his time in front of the net, and we could have used that tonight against a HOF goaltender.

Meh. No team can spot the Devils a lead early and expect to win. If you're down by one and the refs decide to put the whistles away in the 3rd, you have zero chance of coming back.

Looks like the other teams are making up some ground tonight.

If the Habs never face the Devils ever again I wouldn't complain... I absolutely hate games against that team..

oh come on, spare us this crap. Halak has been nothing but excellent for us this season. Was tonight his best game? No. Could he have been better? yes, was he the reason we lost? absolutely not. Save this crap for goal tending thread.

Wasn't terribel, but if it had been Price, you guys would all be whining how he was terrible ! Strange how that works here. Halak gave up 2 soft goals, that if Price let these in, he would get trashed by you guys.

No matter what there should be training on Sunday to beat New Jersey on play off

I do not care what they say, we should be ready for New Jersey !

If there is no training, then coaching staff do not care to win !

I'm not that disappointed. I honestly don't expect our team to do that much against Jersey 5-on-5 because they're a much tougher team than we are, and with Parise and Kovalchuk on their team, their skill level is great as well.

However, our skill level is pretty good when we can get open ice, so we should be doing a lot better on the powerplay. That's my main issue with this game, and with the Habs play as of late. We're just not getting enough done on the powerplay, given our skill level. That has to improve somehow.

Beyond that, I think it's time to give Halak a rest. I'm not saying he played poorly, but just that I think he's starting to get tired out (between the Olympics and becoming our No. 1). Give Price a couple of starts, and let Halak rest for a week.

Anyone else notice that Pouliot was demoted to the third line at the end of the game?

Also, O'Byrne does a good job pinching and holding the zone. His game has come a long way.

Great news is that usually a guy that comes back from an injury like Cammy is that he starts incredibly well but then cools off big time......Seems that Cammy already went to the "cool off" mode so it only means that it will improve from now on. He's not going to cool off during the playoffs.

its still not the first time he lost on an important game

the 3rd goal was really stoppable and his rebound control on the 2nd was off

Gotta stop protecting him on every single mistake he makes

Team failed.

If that was sending a message, then we're ****ed.

I'm sure the devils understood it loud and clear. If we play the habs, we're making it to at least the second round, boys!

Jacques Martin, you're an idiot. An absolute idiot.
