Finally, some optimism, and I agree. This board is horribly depressing. We can't even be optimistic when we play the Stars tonight? I bet this team is going to step up with the remaining games, and I fully expect them to beat both Nashville and Vancouver in the upcoming games. Let's ride some momentum into the playoffs.

You expect the Kings to beat both Nashville and Vancouver who they are a combined 0-6 against this season and have played like absolute **** in every single one of those games? On top of that, you expect them to win those games after being completely consistent at being inconsistent since the Olympic break (including some incredibly awful play)? Oooooooooooookkkkkk...

I don't see any kind of hot streak on the horizon unless Quick starts playing better and the offense ignites again.

We've yet to beat a playoff team, outside of the OT victory over the Avalanche, since the break. That's disconcerting and it does raise questions of choking, pressure, the whole nine yards. After a tough break in the shootout against Colorado, a good team comes back the next night and takes it to a black hole team like the Blues. DRW and Vancouver have battled injuries all year long and are still playing playoff hockey.

I know this team is young and still learning yadda yadda. But Lombardi isn't finished building and the jury is still out on TM.

I like our future and I like our team. But I've had guarded optimism ever since the break. This team hasn't "arrived" yet anymore so than Columbus and St. Louis did last year.

Comparisons to St. Louis are unfair. St. Louis spent half of last season in the dumpster and rode a ridiculous hot streak to the playoffs.

This Kings' team has maintained a playoff spot all season, staying in the top 10 of the league for most of the year and even rising to the tippy top for a bit.

You go ahead and just expect the team to lose, whatever floats your boat.

Anything is possible in the 9 remaining games. We might even be able to beat Preds/Canucks.

San Jose was 4-2 vs the ducks last year before the playoffs....how did that work out..... the bottom line is once you get in the playoffs anything can happen. (didn't a year or two ago every lower seed win in one of the conferences?)

This is OT:

If anybody cares, Garrett Roe is currently on ESPNU. If his team wins, they advance to the Frozen Four.

That's awesome. Hopefully KingsVision gets this, probably not though.

I have long believed that positive energy not only helps brings a calm and intensely focused mind but also permeates through those around you...I wonder what over 18,000 fans who believe in their Kings and tens of thousands more throughout can accomplish.

A little test will be what 18 can do on 4/3.
