Such a long time ago. 35 years of waiting. This team never fails to crush my hopes.

I was three and a half when they last won the Cup. So, yeah pretty much my entire lifetime since I had no idea why everyone was freaking out that night. I thought everyone was excited about chicken pox.

Right now chicken pox is more exciting than this Flyers team.

My shirt from 1974
<-----

Since then, every team currently in our division has a Cup. The Atlantic has 11 championships in the past 35 years ... none by the Flyers. After watching the Red Sox win in 2004 and 2007, and thinking of all the poor schmucks who never lived to see Boston win, I can only hope that does not happen among the Flyers fandom. Yet so many here and among the Flyers supporters have never seen the team in all its Cup glory ... except in highlights from the past.

Due to the cap the MLB isn't really comparable to the NHL what with the parity and all. I really doubt I'll go a whole life-time without seeing the Flyers win the Cup.

Even then at least I have a 1B team to cheer for. That's like doubling my chances at seeing my team(s) win a Cup.

Well, 15 years ago, I was pretty convinced I would see the Flyers win the Stanley Cup before the Saints win the Super Bowl, no matter how long it took.

St. Louis Blues ... Toronto Maple Leafs ... L.A. Kings ... well, they may win one very soon.

Could be worse

I am a Hawks fan , 1961 = more depressing

I am also a White Sox fan , We had to wait several generations to win the World Series

I am also a Bulls fan ,,,,,,,,,,, Ok we got spoiled there

The Flyers were unfortunate to run into the Oilers at there peak (Something the Hawks did in CF a couple times)

How did the commercials go? Is this the year?
Good luck in the West. This could be the year.

Only championship in my lifetime was the Phils.
