I'd kind of like to go at it with New Jersey, even if they do have Kovalchuk. I know that the possibility of that happening is very poor, though. Eh- pretty much every lower seeded eastern playoff team wants to face the Sabres so I say bring on whoever.

Philly still has hope. Atlanta's last five games include: Washington twice, Pittsburgh twice, New Jersey once.

Honestly, the 8th spot is New York's for the taking. Then again, the Rangers don't exactly look good at the moment. If they can start winning games at a decent enough click, they could very easily squeak in.

Not that any of this really matters. All of them will be demolished by Washington.

If they fall to the #6 seed...they might still end up playing Pittsburgh or New Jersey.

The Sabres have a very real shot at the #2 spot.

I'd rather face Montreal, Boston, Philly, Atlanta, or the Rangers in the first round, so yes I'd like to see Ottawa secure the fifth place spot.

I'd rather talk about us getting the #2 seed, though!

Tuukka Rask is a hell of a lot more dangerous than anyone on the Kovalchuk-less Thrashers. If Buffalo does face Atlanta, I will go on record right now as saying there is a zero percent chance of the Thrashers winning the series.

If the Sabres are going to get mauled by the Sens I'd rather have it happen in the first round. I don't think Regier will seriously address the Sabres lack of physicality if it happens later in the playoffs. He'll be content with their progress if they make it past the first round. I think the Sens are the perfect first round opponent for the Sabres. If they win, great. If they can't match up, something will be done about it.

I hate that we have a dedicated thread on our board about Ottawa. We're giving 'em too much respect. The playoffs are a clean break from the regular season.

No real point to this thread, but I think I'm gonna become a pseudo-Sens fan for the next week or so.
