... or something like that.
I've been watching hockey for well over a decade now, and a few months ago I realized something: I'd never seen the Predators play. So I made it my mission to watch everything Predators, to immerese myself in this forum (without posting, that's a great way to screw things up ) and to get to know the team better. Two months later, I have to say that I love this team. I don't think I will ever stop loving the Edmonton Oilers, but I absolutely love this Nashville team. Just so you all know, you're lucky to have the organization. Cheers!

Welcome! Since you guys are out of the playoffs(but in great position for an impact player in the draft), we fully expect you on our playoff bandwagon. There's a lot of similarities in the way the Oilers and Predators are built and how they operate, it's typically easy to like one if you like the other.

Feel free to navigate over to the iPred avatar thread, to pick up a Preds avy for the stretch run

That's awesome, I think the Preds are an easy team to go for because they don't have the polarizing superstar that a lot of other teams have. Their success is because they win and lose as a team, they don't have that one player that if they don't play lights out the entire team is compromised. This season has been a great season to be a Predators fan because it just seems like all the forward lines are pretty much equal when we're healthy. You have J.P. Dumont as one of the top scorers on the 4th line for instance. The emergence of Hornqvist has been exciting, and if you're into the star players we've got a giant killer in Shea Weber.

The Oilers are an easy team to like too. I just got into hockey the year they went to the finals with the Hurricanes, so at the time I didn't really appreciate how cool that was that they made it all the way from the 8th seed. I was just watching it to watch hockey then. In hindsight I wish I were going for the Oilers in that series. They always seem to have such tough luck with injuries though.

Good people here too
I love the whole idea of NSH being a team and not just three superstars. I've never been attracted to the idea of jumping onto the Pens bandwagon or the Caps. No offense intended to fans of that team. Ryan Suter is one of my favorite players, I'm thinking he'll be my next jersey.

Come on aboard!!! I absolutely will be rooting for the Oil to turn it around next year and make the playoffs. The atmosphere in Rextall is INCREDIBLE during the playoffs.

Welcome. Suter is a stud. There is no harm nabbing a jersey with his name on the back. The Predators are a great team to watch, and they have really turned into a strong team over the past few years (in terms of chemistry).

I have to wait another 4 months for a name change, unfortunately, but when I get a new name I'll try to fuse a Preds-Oilers type of thing. Any ideas?

I will admit that Suter has a tendency to draw people in.

Predmonton Oilers is pretty much awesome.

Welcome! The Oilers are my favorite Canadian team and I absolutely love the city. Glad you guys got Jonesey and you definately can't go wrong with a Suter jersey.

Welcome!! My name is Raven, nice to have you here.

Do you really live in Sweden? It's awesome to have fans from around the world! And it feels special that you "chose" Predators out of all the NHL teams to follow (in addition to Oilers, of course).

As for your name change, I really like Predatoilers. Although Predmonton Oilers is cute too.

Oh okay. I have a Scotland flag and I live in Nashville, so it's all good.

And you're from Toronto but don't cheer for the Maple Leafs?

The fact that I live in Toronto is one of the reasons that I don't. The most obnoxious, apologist fanbase to ever exist. Every day my peers tell me how Tyler Bozak is a franchise defenseman.
Yeah, defenseman.
And the ones that actually are somewhat intelligent are usually massive homers: Phil Kessel = Jesus Christ etc.

Welcome aboard.

I've always liked the Oilers and are one of the few Canadian teams I'll cheer for if the Preds aren't in the thick of things.

This ... and it doesn't hurt to say that Edmonton & Nashville are sister cities ...

Link for proof

The sister cities thing I had no idea about. That's really interesting actually. I don't live in Edmonton though as I said. I wish lol.
