In addition, no one asked for Cote's autograph.
I'd never bother a player for an autograph unless it was like during a practice or something. Especially if they're eating. I'd be pissed off if someone bothered me while I was eating. lol at the Cote thing. Also, how dumb do you have to be to not realize who he is (especially with people asking for autographs the whole time).

Which is surprising to me considering none of the three are very physical, two-thirds of the line is really small, and one-third of it is really soft on his skates.

In all fairness to Detroit they didn't need him or have room for him. Yeah, we made out well in it though.

I've met tons of Flyers players at Chickie's and Pete's after games (carter, richards, gags, metro, asham, cote, dowd). I've gotten autographs and a few pictures even. You need to ask yourself a key question here. Would the players go to Chickie's and Pete's if they didn't expect to be greeted by fans? It's a popular sports hangout, of course they're expecting to get attention. If they weren't in the mood for that, they'd go somewhere more low key.

Just be courteous and thankful and they'll have no problem taking a break from their drink or meal to give you a minute of their time.

Coincidence?

I'm surprised there's no outrage on the main board after Carbomb got a match penalty.

Came to say this.

With all the Homer-bashing around here, give credit where credit's due.

Note: Haven't seen the game but in the highlights Leino looked fantastic.

It wasn't too bad of a play.

It's either that or me not watching the games. I'm gonna go with both!

Boucher had a solid night. His biggest issue is still lateral movement from post to post; seemed like the Devils didn't really exploit that until the Kovalchuk goal.

Leino was great last night. Makes me miss OKT less and less

I can see it now...next year, Leino puts up 90 points for us, while OKT sits on display in Detroit's most prestigious Glass-Art gallery.

Leino has gotten better with each game he's played. If he can emerge as a legitimate RW option next year, that will solve a lot of problems.

He didn't do it on purpose, but you're still responsible for your stick.

I think a plyon could have gotten similar results last night. He really was not tested much, even though he faced 33 shots.

I may be overcritical, so I'll just congratulate him on not doing anything wrong this game.

In one Clarkson quote, he said it was an accident by Carcillo

Next one he says it was dirty

Leighton would have gotten more credit then Boucher did last night.

After watching him up close, I just wanted to mention how awesome Betts is in the faceoff dot. He frustrates the opposing centers so freakin much. They got thrown out almost every single time. I can't find the faceoff numbers for last night, but he did good.

He went 9 for 21.

He still won more faceoffs than any other player though.

Obviously, they know that the most convenient latenight food place to the Wach is going to be loaded with fans. But if they are just having a drink? Well, people drink to socialize. So that's one thing. But it's just disrespectful to bother someone when they are eating. Give them some measure of privacy.
