I thought Legein was supposed to have a decent shot at making it into the NHL next season. Didn't he leave hockey for a while - got burnt out for a while? I have no idea who Popov is. In my opinion Nodl and Laliberte have no business in the NHL unless there are several forwards injured and then only in limited minutes - doesn't seem like this ranking is quite right.

But I'm just a regular guy who likes hockey and can admit that others may know more than I do.

The depth chart isn't according to me. It's more of a random placement not made by me after I entered the recent top 20.

As I said before in this thread (though it has vanished) is that I need to send in a new copy of the depth chart. Things have changed way too much.

Also, Ville Leino will graduate as a prospect on Thursday, April 1st 2010 when the Flyers play their next game.

All I know is, I'd love to see Legein in a Flyers uniform. Maybe replacing Asham next season. Fast, has awesome hands and the scoring touch, I'd love to see him on a line with JVR and Giroux. And no, I don't think Nodl is better than him, HF is wrong lol.

i was thinking about the roster next year and who would compete for ashams spot. and kalinski (who is a b) is pretty much a stone lock. then i looked at who else could be competing maroon,(who is properly a c) and legein (who is still a d)

then on the blue line theres bart (again a b) but also lehtivouri (c) and bodrov (f)

aside from maroon id bump all of those guys up a grade. if a guy that does make the roster graduates then a guy who Should make a roster is an A then if you could bump off a guy thats a B and Could is a C.

when theres a lot of potential theres alot of leeway but when your talking about guys whos whole career is gonna be spent in the bottom 6 or bottom pairing then i think they should be more accurate with the grades.

I would venture to guess there will be a huge overturn of the roster in Adirondack for the 10-11 season.
I can see why they suck.

Well guys... its looking more and more like Eriksson is coming to NA.

From EuroFlyers:

Quote:
"Joacim Eriksson was high on our list, but he will not play for Brynäs next season." - Brynäs GM.
Quote:

Comment by Brynäs GM has increased the speculation of Eriksson going to NA already next season.
Quote:
Flyers said to be interested in bringing Eriksson over for next season.

We are going to rush and ruin our only good goaltending prospect.

Is he still young enough to play CHL? because that would be better than the AHL

He's 19. I think he can play 1 more season in CHL. But... I think he would easily dominate it. Overseas, I think, is harder competition.

I'm sure he would be good, but it's not like he has been playing in the SEL, he has been in the Swe-1.

I really wish he would go to the SEL for a year or 2

Fine with me. I'm really excited to see him in action. I think developing in the AHL will be good for him. If he is the true gem that a lot of us think he may be, staying put or coming to NA shouldn't matter...if he is going to be good, he will be good no matter where he plays or how he gets there...

I like that he seems eager to get over here and play with the big boys!

Maybe they are more concerned with getting him adjusted to the NA rinks and style of game as soon as possible?

Although if they bring him over I doubt he goes anywhere but the AHL, which is stupid on 3 fronts:

1. He is 19 and may not be ready (maturity wise to leave home and spend an entire year overseas), the SEL would give him excellent competition without displacing him.

2. You completely screw any chance of seeing what your other prospects have. Riopel will be his backup when he should be starting, for instance.

3. Thanks for the decent season on the Phantoms and 2 periods with the Flyers, now that you are adjusted to the NA game you can now go spend the rest of your career overseas, Mr. Backlund.

That being said, despite the draw backs, it sounds like the knee jerk reaction that Holmgren would make in this situation due to the goalie debacle this year.

Yeah, I like Eriksson, but I need to see the kid in the SEL for at least a year. It seems like it's him who has his start set on coming over and not the organization making him.

At least that's the impression I'm getting. Apparently at the STH Town Hall, the brass was agreeing with most of us that patience is the best option with Eriksson.

Pryor said he liked where Eriksson was at, and where he was going overseas. Personally, he said it was unlikely that Eriksson comes over to NA, Pryor at least said he wanted Joacim to take his time over in Sweden. Contradictory reports, and I believe what Pryor said because he told the truth about everything else. I'm on the side of letting him play in the SEL for at least a year. He dominates like Markstrom did(not expecting him to), then bring him over. Otherwise, let him be.

It could be as simple as they would like him over here for training and so Jeff Reese can get with him and then have him go back to the SEL next year.

Well... he has been over here in the past. Its not like this will be his first time. By "bringing him over", we think means "he will play over here". Thats what they ussually mean when they say that. They are saying the same thing with Popov, and the same thing with Bodrov.

Testwuide gets his own Flyers.com article lol

Quote:
Boasting an impressive combination of size, speed, and intelligence, Mike Testwuide emerged this season as one of the top undrafted seniors in college hockey.

As such, he received contract offers from several NHL teams after his Colorado College Tigers were eliminated from postseason contention in mid-March. In the end, it was the Flyers who landed the 6'3", 220-pound right winger, inking him to a deal that will begin in 2010-11.

The more I read about Mike Testwuide, the more I think he can become another Mike Knuble, but with better wheels. I don't know if he makes the big club next year, but if he does, I could see him on a line with Richards and whoever mans the left side.
