Omark

Look I know that Burkie doesn't like the oilers but maybe Nonis can do the work. As has been rumored Grabovski is a trade target and Burke will likely receive and dish out trade proposals. With edmonton shipping out a lot of salary in the offseaseon they will need accesible roster players who can play while their youngsters are being prepared for the NHL.

To Toronto:
Omark
4th

To Edmonton:
Grabovski

Shoot away!

If Edmonton is gonna trade talent away, they will be looking for size in return. Grabovski doesn't give them anything they don't have lots of already.

Burke's feud was with Lowe and they have since burried the hatchet. Not that it matters because Lowe is not the Edmonton GM anymore.

Burke and Tambo have been friends since their Vancouver days, but I think Edmonton is still shedding talent next year in their rebuild. They're not at the point where they're trading prospects.

they need some speed, but they have overpayed and now need to move them for cheaper pieces.

edit: meaning they should get a couple grabovskis and replace penners

for all the ugliness from the Penner situation, I think he stays especially seeing as he's finally breaking out.

Edmonton has more bad contracts than any other team I can think of. POS @ $2.9, Nilsson @ $2, Moreau @ $2, Souray @ $5.4, Horcoff @ $5.5, Khabibulin @ $3.7, Whitney @ $4.

They finally shed a couple in Staios and Grebs, but considering Grabovski is borderline overpaid, they probably don't want.

most of those contracts are fine...the problem is the team is doing terribly...Horcoff, and O'sullivan were questionable when they were made/before the team dropped off. also...add pisani...

yeah, like it's not that they're crippling contracts (aside form Horcoff and Souray), but all these slightly overpaid deals add up and suddenly the worst team in the league is in the top 10 in cap.

p.s. Leaf fan saying this... pot meet kettle, I know...

Wouldn't Edmonton want to keep Omark because he is a prospect, and thats what they would want, rather than Grabo?

Pretty ugly for Edmonton.

Grabovski has size issues just like Omark but instead of paying Omark 800k an entry level contract they take on Grabo's 2.5+ AND toss in a draft pick?

No thanks.

Omark is just a more talented and flashier version of Grabovsky and receives less. Why should the Oilers trade him then? And I don't even think he will fit into our system once he starts trying his super fancy moves

Why trade for Omark when we could have a better scandinavian smurf for free? Mats Zucharello Aasen > Omark, both in terms of offensive talent and attitude.

If we should trade for a Edmontonian swede then Anton Lander is the guy to target.
