I am confused myself as to why it wasn't a double minor, if anything their sticks tangled and slid up the slimey arm of clarkson. Maybe the ref should have called the 4-5 two handers that clarkson was laying on Leino. Most nights we deserve the calls against us by against the Devils and the Pens it was foolish, the refs were terrible.

I'd wager the match penalty was more to get him off the ice for the rest of the game than anything else really, but it wasn't the first time in the game that Carcillo was involved with extracurriculars.

If he gets suspended the league is once again a humongous joke.

You'll have to enlighten me as to when this league ever stopped being a joke.

I wouldn't be surprised if they sit him the rest of the regular season. Anything else the league could do to further hinder the Flyers' playoff chances at this point is just icing on the cake. That said, it'll probably be nothing or everything.

Knowing Danny has been one of our best fowards lately I can buy into this.

Its obviously not suspension worthy, that being said I think He'll get 1 game for reputation (do see do with Devorski during Bruins Game)

Who cares, Flyers are rallying behind these non and phantom calls. No crying in baseball and no whining in Hockey. ****** 'em all.

You guys have to stop looking at front of the jersey when it comes to this. The name on the back here means more. When you develop a reputation like Carcillo has and have taken multiple suspensions in a small about of time, while he's done his part under Laviolette to be exponentially more disciplined, it takes years to get over that if ever.

Carcillo is going to need to learn to take it to the edge of the rules to be a effective agitator. no high sticks, no punching guys when they arent ready. none of that.
Ill give him credit. He has been better this season, but he still has some hiccups he is going to have to get under control. He is still a bit reckless and out of control.
When he is playing under control both physically and mentally he is a very effective player.
That said I wouldnt be shocked if he gets a game or 2.

No thats lame. Ive seen Hartnell get punched and start punching more than once this year before the other guys gloves were off, but they were coming off. I dont wanna hear that garbage. Bradley was ready, he just cant take a punch. Carcillo was victimized 10 fold in that whole incident, just as bad as Gagne was in ottowa with volchenkov.

The NHL runs this league with the same principals as some of this worlds worst dictators. They dont look at situations objectivly. they assume things, and persecute people unfairly. What Carcillo did sunday was a hockey incident, should have been 4 in the box, and thats it. No hes gotta be but on the stakes and burned alive, while this league, who just passed a "head shot rule' just allowed a player to try and injure antoehr player.

First two sentences: So essentially be the Bizarro Herb Brooks.

Last sentence: Holy crap you couldn't be any closer to the truth, especially the bold part.

So you wouldnt want Clarkson suspended had he done that to Carcillo? I could see many on this board wanting or demanding a suspension if its the other way around.
You still have to be responsible for your stick. Carcillo wasnt there.
You have a problem with the league banning blindside hits to the head?

Wolski = Polish for "allergic to corners". I'd rather not have him around.

I think he went to punch me and he hit me with his stick," Clarkson told the Newark Star-Ledger. "He came in and wanted to fight and I think he got his stick up. I think it was pretty dirty.
i don't really think clarkson is in the position to call carcillo "dirty" when he was getting into it with him as well and also had his stick up. i also think it's funny when someone like clarkson calls someone ELSE dirty.

It'll be even funnier to see what Clarkson says when the shoe's on the other foot.
