Nooooooo

Of course he remains a depth player but clutch guys like him are hard to replace. Lapierre better raise his game...

Ahh no, brutal news for Metro, he was an important player in terms of fitting in his role. And I know stats don't matter, but I was really looking forward to him having a career year here in Montreal...I think he's only a few points shy of his high, although he has topped his career tops in goals.

Here's hoping to a miracle comeback in the finals by Metro!

Also, I would have really hoped for Ryan White to get the call. Not only has he been one of the best call-ups, and most physical Habs overall, but he's also a right-handed shot. Even though he doesn't fill the net, I think it's a factor that has to be taken into consideration. I really don't get Maxwell fitting into the lineup instead of White, or a few of the other guys at this point.

Losing those handlebars and Mara's epic beard is going to hurt this team.

This is a much bigger loss than most people realize... I really liked Metro and the intensity he brought to his line. He always gave 110% and wasn't afraid to go the front of the net.

Hope he comes back next year.

He's the next habs Lang, he came for one season, was epic, and now he likely won't be back. It's too bad, liked Metro and Lang.

this is some cruel joke by the Hockey Gods to do this to us. A playoff guy getting injured...this year...right before the potential playoffs. W T F is up with this season. As for stepping up -- Metro is the guy that usually steps up. His absence will be seen glaringly. This sucks.

Metropolit has already skated this morning

Better than skated, in fact: Habs Metro was slapping the puck with some force

Maybe we might see Metro grow his handlebars after all.

Feel bad for Metro... I'm afraid he won't be offered an NHL contract next year but he absolutely deserves one.

Bummer. Metro seemed to have a knack for getting some important scores.

Will Moses be back in time to split the red sea in Washington?
