Any word on whether he'll attend taining camp this year? I recall him coming last season, or maybe the season before, i'm not quite sure. But regardless, he's got good size and seems to have very good skills from the numbers he put up in the RSL last season. So anyone sniff anything out on the guy? IB, maybe you can speak to some of your sources and find out if there are any plans for him in a Blues uni?

If the Russians aren't already over here (Lemtyugov) then they're probably never coming (Shishkanov, Barulin, Shkotov, Alexandrov, etc.)

Agreed. Pimp, you're better off just forgetting about these guys.

Yea I suppose you two are right. It's just that these guys are talented and mature and could step right in and make an impact to give this team instant credibility on offense. It's just hard not to hold at least a shred of hope.

Dude, I also agree with you, in part. It is extremely hard to not have, at least some, hope. Usually, I'm a big ol' optimist. But in the case of a lot of European players, especially Russian, most NHL teams get disappointed, not just the Blues. It must incredibly difficult for most guys to just pack up and leave, not just their home, but their nation.

And besides, like others have pointed out, MOST draft picks NEVER work out, no matter from where they come.

But I do like your attitude and optimism.

He's back...

Offered a contract by the Blues...who knows if he'll sign...but definitely and off-the-radar type move.

Nice dig! Stealth went deep into his Domain to exhume this chunk of dead flesh. (While blasting a Slayer song)

He was 7th in the KHL in penalty minutes this year. Could he be the next Eurogoon? Remember the first Eurogoon?

No kidding. I read the first post of the thread not looking at the date and was like, "the kid played in the RSL last season? the RSL hasn't even existed for a few years!".

As mentioned in the prosects thread, I find this contract offer interesting. I know next to nothing about this guy. This a completely off the grid type of move...who knows if he actually signs the contract (a contract I would assume is two-way) but we shall see. I would think it would be hard to convince him to leave the KHL to try his hand in N.A., especially since he would like have to spend at least a little time in the AHL first and he'd get paid MUCH less in the AHL than KHL but perhaps he has a burning desire to play in the best league in the world and he's willing to at least give it a shot.

Great find Stealth!
You have a link to where they offered him a contract?
