man.. another fumbled pass from Wilson to somebody in prime scoring position.. as soon as people begin to expect those, he is going to score a lot of points

Haven't made my prediction yet. I don't know who will win, or how many goals LA will get, but we'll get three goals (Legwand, Legwand, Legwand). Make it happen!

You would think Murphy used to play for them or something. Pete and Terry are just as guilty.

Slow start, got back on the right track on the PP, but can't fall back into the trap of allowing LA to control the puck, use speed through the neutral zone, and forecheck their way to offense...gotta do the exact opposite...

More pucks and people at Bernier...too selective on offense...

Pekka not sharp early, gotta make sure he gets it together quick...

Getting hemmed into our zone by the LA forecheck...playing right into their hands...gotta survive the remainder of this period, make some changes, and attack in the second period...

Three new lines tonight, no morning skate, little chemistry out there...

Again, I'm tired of scoreless firsts, Dish Network showing basketball on the HD feed, and The Penguin interviewing Dan Ellis.

Erat par for the course tonight so far...giveaway straight to Smyth to send him in on a breakaway...Rinne with the save...

Not taking care of the puck...not thinking a step ahead...not matching the Kings work ethic...

Again, gotta survive this period and regroup in the locker room...

No chemistry, no hustle, not very pretty right now...

Erat is nowhere near full strength.

Unless get really lucky, we are totally ****ed if we play like this the rest of the game.

This happens almost every time we have 2 guys or more back in the same game. It throws everything off.. why not at least leave 2 lines intact for a period?

Horrible period from nearly the entire team. Rinne looked good. Wilson had a crazy set up that didn't pan out. I believe it was Goc with another that didn't work. Tootoo needs to stop admiring the digestion of his lunch and start thinking about the game.

wonder if he's trying to get the team and fans going with some big hits. If so, he can't take anymore penalties and should probably just get back to playing hockey.

hopefully that was an outburst of energy from the kings because of the loss last night that can't be sustained.

The least they could do is take down the Predators vs. Kings title so I wouldn't be looking at it every 5 minutes to see if the game has come on.

Preds did their best to survive that period and despite his shaky start...Pekka allows the team to head back to the locker room with the game still scoreless...

Kings thrive on speed through the neutral zone leading to an initial attack off the rush and then using that speed to get to the loose pucks and they are very strong on the cycle generating second, third, and fourth scoring chances...

Preds struggling with the aggressive LA forecheck and the wingers in particular are being weak on the wall, not getting pucks out, and keeping our defense on the ice far too long...

Nashville has got to review the video from this period, identify the LA forecheck and make adjustments to get the breakout working...

No speed through the neutral zone with the puck, getting overrun by the LA backcheck and turning the puck over almost every time...must make a commitment early to get the puck in deep behind the LA defense and get after it...establish a forecheck, create turnovers, cycle, get shots through from the point, and bang and crash the crease until we start popping home some rebounds behind Bernier...

Far too easy of a period for Bernier...FAR TOO EASY!!! Must make life much more difficult for him in these last 40 minutes...more pucks, more people to the net...take away his eyes, bump him, make him work his butt off...

Cleaning up the breakout will ease a lot of pressure on Rinne, but also gotta watch ourselves in the offensive end and must make sure we keep a third forward high...LA defense is jumping up in the rush almost every opportunity...must be sure to get the guys back to cover up and deny them opportunities there...

Lots of work to do...but let's hope the first period was equivalent to a morning skate and that we pick it up in the final 40 minutes...
