A hot mess. Haven't used that one in a while.

Thankfully for us, we can deal with a loss. This is the worst team to lose to at the moment, but we can deal.

Need to step in up in these final minutes...not nearly enough traffic or shots to the net...shots coming from the outside...gotta figure out a way to rip it from the slot...

Just grip it and rip it at this point!!!

I'm going to do everyone a favor and go cook for a second. They always seem to score when I leave.

Oh I pretty much agree...however our PP has let us down once again tonight. it seems that when it works it works un bucnches....lots of the time in the same game, then the drought returns.

We look like a tired team .. have for the past couple of games. Took two out of three from the Kings after the break ... still in good position ... disappointing, but not all that unexpected.

Damnit. If we play like this during the playoffs we'll be swept. I snuck away from my poor old grandmother's passover dinner for this? Gahh.

Yeah, that was an ugly third.

Not doing ourselves any favors losing a game like that.

44.1 Checking from Behind – A check from behind is a check delivered on a player who is not aware of the impending hit, therefore unable to protect or defend himself, and contact is made on the back part of the body. When a player intentionally turns his body to create contact with his back, no penalty shall be assessed.

I'm just curious how many times Sullivan has to take a blatant check from behind before the refs call it. Oh and...

44.3 Major Penalty – Any player or goalkeeper who cross-checks, pushes or charges from behind an opponent who is unable to protect or defend himself, shall be assessed a major penalty. This penalty applies anywhere on the playing surface (see 44.5).

The first one was a cross check

This is the same way the team has been playing for most of the month and been winning. 17 games in 29 days ... about to be 19 games in 33 days before we get our first two day break since the Olympics. 11-5-1 isn't a bad month.

Oh, come on now guys. This team has played freaking phenomenal to even be in this position. A bad game...they happen...oh well.

I WANT TO FACE CHICAGO! Why? Because as of late we seem to 'bring it' with really good teams and fizzle against the others. I have a feeling that we'll disappoint against PHX. Our offense is not strong enough against a hot goalie. I'd rather take my chances with average offense going against shaky goaltending.

Seven consecutive scoreless periods at home...

Not very happy right now, but not gonna get too low...had a great month...now we have a couple days off to get things back together and insure that this is just a blip in the grand scheme of things...

Didn't like the idea of changing up three lines to get two guys back into the lineup tonight...no morning skate today lead to no chemistry in the first period and gave the Kings all the momentum early...

Never really challenged Bernier with shots from the slot...made things far too easy on the rookie netminder to give him his first shutout...

Give the Kings credit...they pulled out the victory at the end...now we've got to put it past us and get ready for the next game...

He has been in the ahl because Quick has been so good, they had the luxury of leaving him there.
I would have rather faced their backup for this year, rather than Bernier.

I watched the game. He was incredible.

I stand corrected. Again.

Yea, I don't understand that, especially on a back to back after a win.

I'm with Don Cherry on tinkering with the lineup during win streaks ... even though we lost against the Wings (if you continue to pile up points) you don't make lineup changes ... PERIOD

The one advantage to us playing more games than anyone else in the West is that next week we get to play every 3rd game as opposed to the 19 games in 33 days that took us from the Olympic break through the Detroit game this Saturday. One game with no puck luck .. a few issues to address ... a few good things to take away.

Please remember to breathe for the next 48 hours.

Not too mad about this one. Boys look really tired and understandably so. Rest up tomorrow then get read for STL.
