just wondering what was your answer for this very clever question on the Habs board: "Who do you hate most on the habs roster?"
Hey, there is nothing wrong with hatred in sports. For God's sake, I hate the Leafs about as much as I miss them right now. You see, I live in Finland and I go see SM-Liiga games and I find myself hoping for a close game because I can't figure out which team to cheer for. How boring is that?
I miss Hockey Night in Canada so much when the fate of my Saturday night is decided by the Habs winning or losing. If they rally past the Leafs in overtime (with Francis Bouillon downing Tucker to boot), you know you gonna see the sun rise before hitting the sack and if the opposite happens, it's an early one with the phone disconnected.
You know, I can't rationalize this, I was born a Habs fans, then, ipso facto, a Nordiques hater/Leafs hater. And pro sports is so much better that way.
I do not care who's got the money and who owns my club because I did not choose it, my father made the choice for me and his father before him. Of course, these guys frustrate me more often tha otherwise, I don't trust that Gillett fella and to answer the question, I despise Patrice Breeze-By and am not crazy about Dagenais and Bulis either. But what can I do? It's a loyalty thing.
And by the way I did answer the tread correctly by stating my "Favorite" Leafs players (Cherry is probably the guy that has been "playing" for the Leafs for the longest in history), I just could not go all the way to 10.
And the theory says that the Leafs are going to win the cup when Hell freezes over, it must be true, I read it in Hustler magazine.
But then again, the Red Sox won a pennant...

well your dad should keep his Hustler magazine's from you until you at least hit puberty.

there is nothing wrong with hating a sports team, but there is something wrong with going to that team's page looking for a fight. Keep it up and the mod's will show you what I mean.

How so? His numbers and play for the Leafs has been excellent. While he has had bad games here and there (which are susbsquently magnified to no end), he does not get any recognition around the league for his mostly solid play or his offensive achievements. Underrated seems a better fit when describing McCabe...

because unless you're damn near perfect you're not a good player to a lot of these Leaf "fans". Doesn't matter that he was a Norris finalist, one bad game in the playoffs instantly makes him a dud.

Top 10 Leafs (In my lifetime):

1) Doug Gilmour.....Almost brought the Stanley Cup to Toronto all by himself.
2) Al Iafrate.....Fast skater, Booming shot, hard to take down.
3) Rick Vaive.....Awsome Slapper from the right wing...multiple 50-goal seasons.
4) Darryl Sittler.....First Leafs superstar in my lifetime
5) Wendel Clark.....some years he was the only good thing worth cheering for in T.O.
6) Dave Andreychuk.....Hamilton hometown hero.
7) Borje Salming.....should have won the Norris trophy at least once in his career.
8) Eddie Belfour.....I was banking him to win Vezina this season
9) Tie Domi.....Tough guy that most guys would love to have play on their team.
10) Russ Courtnall.....Fastest skating Leafs player in my lifetime

Well he is no dud that is for certain...any team in the NHL would be happy to take him...the SEL on the other hand may think twice before trying to sign him again...

Hey....The wookie avatar is still there............I am working on the set of TILT which stars Mike Madsen of KILL BILL and RESEVOIR DOGS...........it airs on ESPN on Thursday nights.......this past Thursday Episode 3 aired but this past week I was filmed on Episode 7 as one of the featured gamblers of Texas holdem Poker.....I also have 2 auditions coming up for commercials..........I am also working on the series KOJAK and will start working as well with Mark Wahlberg.......right now I mostly do background work but I have speaking parts in 3-films already.......a very good friend of mine is also a script writer and hes given me a big speaking part in a feature that will start filming in Trinidad this summer in June...........this one will have 3-major Hollywood celebs starring in it.........I get to play a beach-side bartender.........

In April the movie FEVER PITCH hits the theatres......I have a speaking part in that one.....it stars Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon (spelling).........the scene I was in was filmed outside of St.Lawrence market on Front street where they had it look like the outside of Fenway Park in Boston.........I get to yell out; THE REDSOX WIN...WE DID IT....WE DID IT!!!......this one here was my second credit on film...........

In June CINDERELLA MAN hits the theatres it was directed by Ron Howard and stars Russell Crowe....I did alot of background work on that one at Maple Leaf Gardens for 3-months.....at the end of the film when they have the big fight between James Braddock (Russell Crowe) and Max Bear (Craig Bierko) I am one of the photographers along ring side standing beside the Leonardo DiCaprio look-a-like.....this one was a 1930s Boxing movie..........

In August THE PERFECT MAN hits the theatres and I get to bump into Heather Locklear in that one and spill beer on her sweater.....I get to say OOOPS IM SORRY.....this one was filmed at Lee s Palace in Toronto and also stars Hillary Duff and Dennis DeYoung who use to be the lead singer of the rock group STYX..........I got a free concert that day from DeYoung and had 6-beers on set for free and had lunch with the big stars and producers of this film...........

In October a George A Romero Zombie film comes out called; LAND OF THE DEAD right on time for Halloween......Dennis Hopper is the big star in that one.......I get to play a construction working who gets chased down the street at night at Bay and Adelaide in Toronto by 100-Zombies......at the end of the film I am also one of the last remaining humans left alive on Earth BUT the Zombies finally catch up to me and eat me up alive.....this film was ALOT of FUN to work on!!!

2005 should be a BIG year for movie making in Ontario because the Ontario government finally started giving the production companies a 33% tax break up from 11%...........

Cheers!\
