stomped people's faces in the USHL for a year.
Chose a pretty bad ncaa program to play for in as far as development, but no one had any real idea on his potential. His frame never filled out either. NMU blech. they were pretty marginal the whole time he was there. marginal program overall.
it's a big "we'll see." He's smart, and Dean loves players that can walk and chew gum at the same time. Needs to eat something.

Apparently the Flyers were pursuing him according to his former USHL team's website.

He will be reporting to the Kings:

Wonder if he'll appear in a game. Last year, the Kings signed Elkins and he was listed on the roster but never appeared in a game. Years ago when Piskula was signed, he appeared in a handful of games.

Ziggy, where did you see the Flyers thing? I checked that USHL site and didn't see anything.

The word also is former RoughRider Ray Kaunisto is close to signing with an NHL team, quite possibly the Philadelphia Flyers. Kaunisto just completed a four-year college career at Northern Michigan, scoring 17 goals this season. He played in Cedar Rapids in the 2005-06 season.

Manchester fodder, might get into a game or two if we clinch early but then he'll get firmly entrenched into the AHL.

If he can help by being one of the top scorers in Manchester like Elkins then it isn't an overall bad signing.
