Predators' Pekka Rinne heats up for playoffs

After last night's utterly disappointing loss, I thought this article was a nice pick-me-up.

It's really good to hear a player on your team talk like that. Particularly when that player is a goalie and therefore an integral part of your team. I like this especially:
Quote:
Despite stopping 29 of 31 shots, Rinne manned up after the loss."If I need to stop every shot, that's what I should do," he said.
That's a really good attitude. Not even a sentence about wanting more offense, Peks is always giving and not taking. Really good stuff.

That's why he's my favorite.

I liked how the article also mentioned just looking past last night... bad games happen and the team (and fans) have to learn to not let it get to us, keep plugging away. We still have the playoffs.

Exactly. The Toronto hockey culture (yet another reason why I don't cheer for the Buds) is basically that whenever the Leafs win, they're SC-bound, but when they lose, the season's over.
