Time to bring out the w00tz0rs. Charles Linglet deserves a chance to play in the NHL.

At this point it definitely looks like they want Eberle nowhere near this dressing room until the TC begins.

I know it's been said like 100,000 times but, how awesome would that be if he went over for the world championships?

HF boards would implode, at the very least.

If all he gets is some regular icetime against the lesser teams, and then part time icetime and PP time for the rest of the Tourney, it will be an invaluable experience and a nice chance to see what he looks like with that much high end NHL skill around.

absolutely and it wouldn't hurt to see him dish out some clutchness at yet another international tournament.

Could you imagine, lol, he goes to the Worlds, and gets a couple clutch goals there? Hockey Canada will put him on every men's team every for his entire career.

lol

It'd be funny if they quietly asked Edmonton to 'lose' him on a flight to europe every year...playoffs be damned...to play in the worlds.

I think even if he went as an alternate and never played a game it would still be beneficial.

I look forward to see how Terry Jones will somehow try to make the Oilers look bad for this.
What exactly does Terry Jones need to do to make the Oilers look bad? They are the worse franchise in the league, they accomplish this all by themselves

hu-mor [hyoo-mer] –noun
1. a comic, absurd, or incongruous quality causing amusement: the humor of a situation.
2. the faculty of perceiving what is amusing or comical: He is completely without humor. (that's the part that applies to you)

sar·casm [sahr-kaz-uhm] –noun
1. harsh or bitter derision or irony.
2. a sharply ironical taunt; sneering or cutting remark

Kinda surprised to see your post which me reminds me to do something. Thanks.

Looks like he has some talent. Why has he not been talked about earlier for call ups? Big body, like said before this is a tryout to see what he can do. Could take Captain penalty's job or Pisani or Comrie.

This off season will be interesting to see how Tambo shapes the roster. Very interesting.

I bet Omark is kicking himself for not coming over to NA this year. Probably would have played a good 60+ games with all of the injuries and could have established himself as an every day NHLer.
Unless your name is Reddox. The last cut from training camp is on the depth chart below Minard and Linglett. Sucks for Reddox, but good for these other guys, I guess.

I agree with you on Omark. He's never gong to get a real chance if he's halfway across the world when we need a call up for a game the next day, but he'd probably be at the top of the depth chart if he was sitting around in the AHL waiting for his chance.

Calling up the Falcons' best player at this point sends a positive message to the farmhands.

Some summer spending cash for our best producer in the AHL. If you made $100,000 over the course of a season... and then get called up to the NHL to make a bonus $50,000 in 2 weeks, that's huge for you.

Remember, they're not all millionaires.
