Mount & Blade Warband

Pretty fun game. The single player is revamped over the original Mount & Blade, more quest, better graphics, improved AI (supposedly). The biggest inclusion is multiplayer. It's actually really fun.

It's like a cross between Total War, Elder Scrolls, and an RPG. It's 30 bucks on steam. It's pretty fun.

There's a free demo of the original mount and blade out there. I suggest you check it out if you're a fan of medieval combat.

Looking at getting it soon, but probably wont' play it for months since I'm still sorta burnt out on M&B.

One thing I'm worried about though is no longer being able to use all the graphical enhancement mods, I'm sure they'll catch up to Warband though eventually. Maybe by the time I'm ready to play it.

Whats the multiplayer like? 64 player hack and slash sounds fun.

The original game was a great bargain. I think I got it for around $10 on Steam when it was on sale and I sunk tons of time into it. The community was great, the mods really added a lot of replay value.

The combat was awesome. I loved stocking up on Khergit horsemen and just mowing down everything in my path. Defending sieges when you're grossly outnumbered was also very fun.

I can't even imagine what multiplayer is like.

I still haven't played Warband yet, but my god, Mount & Blade is so amazing. Highly recommended for everyone. Don't let the graphics throw you off, the game kicks ass.
