I am so glad someone is bringing a diplomatic touch to the GDT.

That is my extent of talent on this thing called the internet.
I was all gung ho to make some coole graphic laden game thread but gave up once it got frustrating.

Should be a playoff atmosphere at the Joe today. Time to knock the Wings down a notch and solidify a playoff spot.

And someone please knock Bertuzzi around today. Do not let him try some superstar type move that becomes highlight film material. We have the ability to make him look like a talented player. Punch him right in the face Shea.

wow almost forgot it was an afternoon game. have to hurry up and drink from the lucky coffee mug and don the appropriate road game lucky garments...

edit: never get tired of the Weber beatdown on Lilja... laugh every time I hear the homer Wings announcer acting like Weber incited the whole thing with an elbow...

After our last game I'm not in any kind of mood to mess around.

Kill 'em.

Kill 'em all.

And y'all have a nice day.

Yeah homer announcer. It was an elbow to the chest at best and honestly he never extended the elbow whatsoever.

I am highly pumped about this game today. Going to be antsy for the next 2+ hours.

On the Wings GDT they have Tootoo listed as questionable under the injury and scratch section. Has anybody heard anything about that? I thought he was a healthy scratch on Thursday.

Also, they have listed Grebs actual injury. Poor guy, I wish that had never gotten out. Stupid Canadian media.

As far as I know, Tootoo was a healthy scratch - coach's decision...Trotz said he wanted Belak in there against King and Spaling in the lineup for his PK and two-way work...

I don't know if you saw my rant in the Grebs injury thread, but I agree...

They probably have it listed that way for Tootoo because he was scratched against the Blues. They don't actually care that much over there about anything not related to the Red Wings, so they probably didn't check it out.

I'm just wondering when an athlete is going to us HIPPA (sp?) and sue the ever living daylights out of the press?

As for the game: If Nashville were to beat the Wings at the Joe today does this put a lingering doubt in Detroit? Nashville and Detroit are the two hottest teams and frankly, people are acting like Nashville and Detroit are the #1 and #2 seeds in the West.

To me, the Predators are the team to beat for Detroit. This game is very important to them and very important to us as well. This will be a great test of our grit under pressure; one of our first ever games in a playoff atmosphere. And I'll be there to enjoy it!

For the record I'm all about putting Grebs and the first person who leaked the actual injury in a small room together. Grebs gets a hockey stick, the other guy gets a pillow. We'll lock the door from the outside, play the theme from The Odd Couple and take bets on the outcome.

You mean this year? I don't know, the last few have had a playoff atmosphere, even if they didn't play like it. The last Preds vs. Wings game did, though. At any rate, today should be interesting. Come on Predators!

Yeah, I caught that the other day.

I figured that was it was on Toots. I would expect him in the lineup ready to go.

We need to bring the physical aspect of our game today for sure. I don't think the Wings can handle a constant physical beating anymore.

Time for Hornqvist to get on the scoresheet against the Wings.

Hornqvist
Erat
Sullivan

for the Preds.....

Holmstrom

for the Wings....

I do mean this year
Really hoping for the win today. On my way to the Joe now, I'm going to be right at the glass for the pregame skate. I've actually played at the Joe before for a hockey tournament. Needless to say, best ice I've ever been on.

So far there is just the NDSports feed (which will be the Wings telecast)...I've had good success with the NDSports stream, but you can only run it in Internet Explorer...

Keep checking here for updates and also the link to NDSports and other streams is available at this link:

Seth, sorry to ask this, but what if you went to the Wings' GDT and asked them to remove "testicle surgery"? They certainly won't listen to me.
EDIT: just FYI I can't see PMs on my phone, so if you need to reply privately direct message on Twitter is the way to go.

This is the greatest idea since Klinger put on a dress.

Honestly, you're not going to be able to control things in other team's forums...the info is out there...we will respect Grebeshkov's privacy, but others obviously will not.

Once it's out there on the web, it's out there...

Okay that's fine. I'm in my seat above the Red Wings net as we speak, watching the wings shoot.... And Pekka seems to like to shoot a lot as well the pregame skate just ended, so there's 18:30 before the game starts. Go Preds go!
