Alistar - turnover and failure to complete the backcheck was by Benn, not Grossman.

Second Oilers goal stemmed from a failure to complete a good exit pass by Niskanen.

Their lousy defense broke down 3+ times in the first period and, lo and behold, our lousy defense has broken down twice in the second. Hmm ...

I shouldn't have said "hmm ..."

Our defense is a weird combination of not big-and-strong and not sharp-and-quick.

Not good.

ok fair enough, I'm up in edmonton and the game is PPV here and I can't find an online stream so I'm listening to the Oiler's radio broadcast, they said it was Grossman who turned it over at the point.

How is Lehtonen looking here? Sounds like an off night for him so far. I don't know if I like this idea of playing him tomorrow as well.

he hasn't been bad, it is more like the team around him has been bad, at least for this second period

Maybe they can take some of the Red Wings fans back.

I'm done with Niskanen. I'm done with him bobbling pucks at the point. I'm done with him dishing sucky breakout passes. I'm done with his entire game. Go away

Nice dummy by Daley. :-) It's Ribeiro's goal, Lehtonen's assist.

What a play by Lehtinen to make the pass before getting run over. I'm going to miss Modano but I'm going to miss Jere Lehtinen just as much, and his jersey needs to be retired just as fast.

Must admit, that was one of the funnest games to go to this season.

When we got up 3-0, all I could remember was the Oilers coming back on the Red Wings a couple nights ago when they were down 4-0 in Detroit. Of course I didn't expect it to happen in a single period...but I definitely knew a surge was coming. Glad to see Benn and Mo take over in the 3rd to win it.

Fun night all around and was awesome to see Mo get the standing ovation he deserved, especially for an 800th assist. Can't wait until Thursday night to see the reception he'll get for probably his last home game ever. Definitely making an all Mike Modano game thread for that game against Minnesota to end the season.

That standing ov. was amazing. You could really tell everyone in Dallas knows what he's done for this franchise. He looked like he was about to break down and cry too.
