Secondary scoring!!!!!!!!!!!!!WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

As for the top 2 lines, as long as they get it going in the playoffs, I don't give a **** what they do right now...

Great win! Hard to find negatives about the d-corps (even MAB??!!??) and bottom 6, they were fantastic apart from one or two shifts. Lapierre played excellent hockey, has done so for 3 or 4 games now (except Carolina, no-one played well except Price). His 'fight' at the end was embarrassing though - his turtling, but especially his yapping at the end of it, and his little hand gesture to their bench. Save that sh*te for them. But he played great. Darche was hustling, hacking away, Pyatt, Moore, Moen, Sergei, all very good.

So much more active and energetic, stick-checking and skating into them, initiating contact, pressure all 1/3rds of the ice. Halak great too, needless to say.

Down players were Plex, Gionta, AK. But whatever. Fantastic. I had little faith we'd get anything from these two games; now it will be a feat to miss the playoffs.

Keep Spacek out, it's working. And let the Irish kid shoot more.

Good game but man - don't tangle with Gaustad if you don't want to fight!

Lot of tough guys here that would just let their face be punched and not cover it up after being outmatched in a fight. Interesting.

I thought you became so thin skin for a second. You do know that the (poor) joke I made earlier was about Bob Cole, not about Price? I was saying the guy is prone to pimpin players.

What a big effin win. Bottom 6 forwards came through big tonight, but we need our top 6 to get it going real soon.

CUJO! The only reason I sported a Oilers cap when I played goalie for my street hockey team.

Easy to be a tough guy on the internet. Lapierre played well, did the sensible thing. Real story was Buffalo trying to pick a fight with Moen with all the stitches still showing on his face.

Is Cujo the greatest goalie to never make it to the finals? (or conference finals even??)

Edit. Looks like he made it to the conference finals.

I thought he was great, vintage Lapierre. It's a shame he did the turtle then mocked Montador even though the ref had to come in and save him. I didn't mind him pointing at the score, that his role agitation. But laughing at someone who was beating the crap out of you until the ref came in to save you kinda tainted his performance imo.

Solid performance from the 3rd and 4th.

Moen-Moore-Sergei
Pyatt-Lapierre-Darche

The 3rd has already shown that they're effective when together. The 4th line showed that they can provide energy and even be an offensive threat without being a liability. I think when Spacek comes back, MAB is out. He's the odd man out now especially since the PP is ineffective regardless of him playing and the 4th line is more effective the way it is.

Gill came in right away for Moen, but defending Lapierre for turtling for how he plays come on...Montador isn't exactly Gaustad.

Great win but I'm still worried about our top 6, they're not scoring anything!

I assume you're talking about Lapierre. He fought Montador. Another guy you don't want to mess with.

No question, keep rolling with Halak.

They played a respectable 3rd period, didn't sit back and won
