Didnt get to watch the game. Gustaffson is playing with Curry though, who was a -3 and Gustaffson was even.

Dont know for sure. Watched the replay on AHLIVE for yesterdays game, and I dont blame Gustaffson on the goal. He kept him outside and did try to steal it but Teslak let in an EASY goal.
Lehtivouri was a healthy scratch. The idiot refuses to scratch Mormina or Curry who have done absolutly nothing this year except turn into a bunch of softies like he has wanted. Instead, he would prefer to scratch someone like Lehtivouri to make room for Gustaffson when they should both be playing over guys who will not be on the team next season.
Can we rehire Stevens as our Phantoms coach again??
They could, but the question would be why?
Everyone likes to remember his Calder Cup winning team that benefited from players like Carter and Richards joining the team after their junior seasons were over, but there are some that remember some very mediocre seasons where the team absolutely underachieved or he couldn't motivate his players to up their games.
Since defenseman Denis Bodrov has finally made his journey to North America in dramatic fashion after virtually cutting all ties with the KHL, the Flyers are slowly moving their European prospect pool over. A few more could possibly make the journey to Adirondack this offseason.
And in an almost desperate search for depth at the goaltending position, Philadelphia is pressing hard on 21-year-old Russian goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky from Novokuznetsk Metallurg of the KHL as well as 22-year-old Finnish goaltender Jussi Rynnäs from Ässät of the SM-Liiga.
They are also talking with Denis Bodrov's brother, Evgeny, a center from Kazan Ak-Bars of the KHL and draft pick Mario Kempe, 21, who is now playing with Rögle BK of the SEL, in order to add depth to the forward position.
think i asked before but cant recall, is ruzicka no longer considered a prospect? They still hold his rights though i believe correct? I would love to give him a real shot on wing. From what i have read he has improved his overall game. Have you heard anythign about him? Positive or negative? Flyers have any interest in him at all at this point?

Ruzicka, Kempe, and Thoresen shouldn't be our property anymore.

Not so sure on ruzicka as i thought they tendered him or something of the like to keep his rights while he went to europe. Could be wrong but thought they did.
All Swedes speak English. . . Swedish is not actually the national language of the country. . . they don't technically have one . . . just a fun fact for you.
edit: Interesting . . . it is now the official language as of last year

Official status
A Finnish/Swedish street sign
Swedish is officially the main language of Sweden. It has long been used in local and state government and most of the educational system, but remained only a de facto primary language, with no official status in law. A bill was proposed in 2005 that would have made Swedish an official language, but failed to pass by the narrowest possible margin (145–147) due to a pairing-off failure.[17] A proposal for a broader language law, designating Swedish as the main language of the country and bolstering the status of the minority languages, was submitted by an expert committee to the Swedish Ministry of Culture in March 2008. It was subsequently enacted by the Riksdag and entered into effect on 1 July 2009.

In all seriousness, anything is better than Idiot Stick in Adirondack right now. You're talking about a guy who's even more clueless than Stevens. If the Flyers are going to do it right in Adirondack, I'd love to see them bring in a guy with a proven track record of developing younger talent. I know the name just makes people upset, but Michel Therrien would be an excellent head coach in Adirondack. A lot of those kids in Pittsburgh got better real fast because of Michel. Yeah, he's a hard ass and he can drive people nuts, but he gets results and that's what this franchise needs. If we don't have the draft picks, might as well try to make diamonds out of the coal that we have in Adirondack and nobody better to do that than Therrien.
