Awesome win. We needed to just get a freaking win in Detroit. Sucks we had to give them a point, but we got 2 and the W.

Ugh, no call on Stuart's crosscheck of Hornqvist. Less gets called, but something that blatant gets let go. Dear Refs, you are in fact allowed to call penalties on Detroit.

Great 2nd period!

Suter!! #3 star on NHL.com.

PLAYOFFS!!

It's nice to have clinched a spot against Detroit. And while they still haven't clinched one yet.

Yes, Kerry Fraser was not looking particularly good yesterday. Is it just me, or did Helm dive on Erat's penalty?
Just including these to save as image for a new avatar

The call on Erat for Helm was extremely weak, especially when you consider that Stuart drilled Hornqvist after the whistle.....and Hornqvist was hit so hard that he took a ref standing right there watching out as well.

With that said, the officials swallowed the whistles. More was probably missed on the Red wings side because they utilize a system that gets away with borderline interference all the time. However, this is nothing new.....it is how they always play, and the officials always seem to let the blue-line and side-wall interference go for them.

I will go ahead and take the honor.

Unless you want it Midnight Oil? It was yours to have for the Detroit game but you had to decline since you went to the game.

I figured there was a slim chance someone would get the Zork reference. I recently played through ALL THREE...with the help of a detailed walkthrough. I don't know how anyone could have made their way through such a ridiculous text-based game without one.

You sure that wasn't Ellis shooting out there? Peks very rarely shoots the puck at the net, but since the Olympic break, Ellis has been skating around and shooting quite a bit during every warm up.

Tell me about it. They're arrogant, just like their team. It's easy to win games when you can afford the best players out there. We work with what we can, and we've had a damn good season. Too bad their heads are so far up their rear ends to admit that.

Anyway, what a fantastic game! Initially I was pissed that we let them have a point, but it's alright, Philadelphia helped make up for that today by winning in regulation. Now the Wings only have one game in hand and are still 2 points behind. I like that.

Great job Preds, I for one found it to be a very entertaining game. I'm proud of you guys for winning it at the Joe. Let's do it again in Phoenix!

like I said... you can imagine how it was on a C64. It took me and two fraternity brothers several days to get through the first one. We drew our own maps as we went. loved the little clues like "the opposite of light is unlight"

I remember back in the day tackling it on an Apple IIe ( a friend made a floppy copy of it for me), and getting stuck at the in the infamous caves (as I figure most did) The third one in particular is pretty frustrating as well, there's a Wizard who repeatedly sends you back to the beginning of the game.

I did enjoy Legend of the Red Dragon back in the day, which was a text based, BBS RPG.

Mr. Adz played that, too. Me, I liked that Jeopardy game.

Not exactly lurking but yeah, I'm here.

Congrats to Barry Trotz. I was there for his second game, that was my first and the first win.
