Like I said, you have an over-inflated idea of how seriously the NHL takes tampering. The NHL imposed more of a penalty on the Leafs for illegally signing Frogren. That should tell you something about how seriously they take tampering.
If the NHL took tampering even half as seriously as Canucks fans, Toronto wouldn't have a team anymore.

Nah, if you are gonna make a team bend over for the good of the league why not just aim for the top and take Crosby from the Pens?

Yashin for Yzerman
Kaberle for Lecavalier
Kaberle for Carter
Kaberle for Kessel
Whatever it was for Stamkos

Those are the one's I can remember.

Also, these sounds like Milbury deals except Milbury actually did them haha.

(I think)
It means if he retires, his contract stays with the team. The way around that is to buy him out, so they're not stuck with his cap hit whatever it is. It will be much lower.

Carter + 1st.

Koules, Barrie, Lawton, they're all ****ed in the head. Even though this was an April Fool's joke, they still are.

Are you guys sure that it was an April Fools joke?

Randy Hahn was talking about this during the broadcast of Colorado vs. San Jose. Maybe he himself doesn't realize it was a joke.....I'm guessing.

Brooks is a moron. He probably has a paid subscription to Eklund

Yeah, it might not be. Brooks reported it on the 4th, so if it is he wasn't aware.

Larry Brooks is perhaps the biggest ****** after Steve Simmons there is in the hockey writers association

He's had an ongoing and unecessary feud with Torterella since the day he was hired and he's off and on about Sather and with this article Im thinking he's definitely off again, although he gets in a pretty good shot at Tampa management with it as well.

Do you think Glen Sather doesn't know who he needs to deal with when talking to the various clubs around the league.

Does anybody actually think that Sather would go above Lawton's head in making a deal, thereby alienating his GM bretheren by breeching the protocol?

While I don't think much of Sather and never have, this article stinks to high heavens!

Leaking failed deals isn't going to save your job, Glen. Making the playoffs is. But even then, what are we talking about? 8th? SEE ya!

It wouldn't be any lower and they're stuck with it, buyout or no buyout...
